Going back to a previous ask, imagine Mama Sid inviting Mack to train at Nova Scotia, and Mack goes wanting to train and he regresses. And then Sid has to take care of a regressed baby Mack that is nervous and scared because Cat and Toff aren't there with him while he is regressed😭 and he doesn't want Sid to think he is a baby! (He is and that is okay🩷)
And Sid, his mama mode strikes at meeting baby Mack for the first time. And he is the most spoiled baby in Nova Scotia for the two weeks (or a week?) he is there🙂↕️ They play in the ice together, Sid takes him fishing (which Mack finds so boring), they watch movies together (Mighty Ducks is a must) etc...
I could go on and on, ahhh! I have so many ideas for them. Thank you for always listening to my crazy ideas, I love how you always understand my excitement🩵🩵

sob sobbing at macky regressing because it just feels so nice and right to relax cuz sid's there but trying his hardest to stay big and he's so so scared of being around The Sidney Crosby while being oh so small, doesn't want to burden sid with the whole everything of age regression.
he warms up so easily because sidcros is just. that good with kids, talks to them slow and gentle and easy and macky can't help but look at him with shining teary eyes of admiration because oh, Oh he's here for a reason, because sid adores him just as much as mack admires sid T_T
love the description of macky being "the most spoiled baby in nova scotia" because absolutely yes. usually there's stricter routine but sid's not making a 3 yr old follow a diet plan. it's really funny though that there would be so much so much conflict between a shy macky who doesn't know how to ask sidcros for what he wants to eat and a mama sid who wants to spoil macky rotten and prepare whatever he wants T_T

sid taking mack fishing and mack finding it BORING is so funny, like thinking of sid n mack sitting in those foldable chairs, mack wearing a bucket hat and some sunglasses with sid, putting on one of sid's fishing vests and it's hot and it's sunny and "how long do we gotta sit hereeee" cuz baby wants to MOVE AROUND!! and he's squirming in his seat. sid chuckles because not to fret, he's dealt with fussier babies before so what he does is has them sit over the ledge of the dock, legs swinging together, and finally they see some fish. sid asks mack to count how many there are as he reels some in, pats mack's back when he gives an answer and helps mack reel in his own fish. "was that fun? "it wasn't that bad..." with the poutiest pout to ever pout
oh they're absolutely watching mighty ducks together, mack watching it and his eyes widening as he cuddles in closer to sidcros and cheering with tears in his eyes when the ducks win the championship like he's a part of the team, hugging sidcros so so tight that sid laughs, hugging mack back with just as much force. i don't have knowledge on mighty ducks (maybe should get on that) but i skimmed the summary and yeah. mack would love that T_T

the way mack grew into his features makes me so sick :( he looks so much older now, the efforts of him coming so far are absolutely showing on his face and his build. mack losing his baby fat a little and gaining definition in his cheeks and jaw...the self assured pose in the recent pic...might feel crazy but i see a difference. not to mention just a difference in stats in general. first nhl goal puck vs. record-breaking puck. he has so much ahead of him!!

i just think mack, who is great with kids and a good older brother, would be a fantastic cg for a tiny!will. we see it when mack is small too, but imagine if he stays big and smitty regresses?
the best playmate and babysitter ever. they roughhouse the right amount for little!will's age, with gentle wrestling and play fights. mack can probably play pretend like nobody's business. he has a knack for seeming genuinely interested in the things smitty is talking about and can ask him all the right questions.
i think little!will would love to be looked after by mack

the roughhousing part made me think of in the video where mack and luke drop the gloves !! mack would absolutely play fight with will, i think it's so funny how there are so many instances of will being tossed around (to a safe extent by his team, not talking about him kinda just falling over all the time on the ice)
and mack would know Exactly what kinda physical activity tiny!will is seeking out :" tossing him onto the bed and on the ground and not letting up until will taps out And, as a good caregiver should do, making sure will is laughing the whole way through and not in any pain or discomfort at any time
dude mack playing pretend is Perfect. i've talked before about how i think little!smitty would love playing house for many many reasons, and mack could Absolutely take part in that. although will runs a #Strict strict program in the house (if the characters arent all by the dinner table by 17:00 there's going to be Words. and maybe a little bit of frustration). i think mack is comfortable with and knows will well enough to play will's Characters exactly how will wants him to
cue mack doing silly voices for all the characters he plays, even gives the dog a scooby-doo-like voice and will's burst into another giggling fit because macky is being sooo silly but he's gotta keep doing the voice!!!
if mack's asking questions and inquiring about everything, he knows little!will will always have an answer. mack loves how much will talks when he's little and how will can seemingly go on and on about simple questions. will spends a lot of time debating the sandwichness of a hot dog and mack listens for the entire hour of it, even when will is drawing sloppy diagrams in his journal with a terrible fisted grip on his marker because he's confused and needs to map out his answer<33

little will not getting his tackles n squishes T_T his active partner that runs with him on the playground and wrestles with him and chases him on the playset and always helps him dust the dirt off his knees and gives him a piggyback ride even if it's a little wobbly,, will is baby eky's baby how could they do that to babies

just some additional thoughts i’d like to share. wenny’s kids seeing eky like a big brother and not understanding why sometimes he’s more on their page than others (when he actually regresses vs staying big). also like in general the idea of him being big enough that he knows when the other littles are possibly hiding something and a Trusted Adult needs to know. also heavy on the pressure thing. it’s probably so much pressure on him knowing he was the first piece of their rebuild, and how his now little brothers also have that same pressure (if not more).
i just love him so dearly. and he will forever and always be a shark to me. i have so many other thoughts but rn im just vibrating in that you have indulged me in my requests hehe. hope you’re having a great day !!!!

if a little is hiding that they're slipping, that's a big !!!! for little!eky. like let's say misamisa's getting small and eky knows it, knows his little brother is getting tinier, immediately tugging on toff's shirt and explaining it best he can that misa's slipping to smaller than eky knows what to do with. of course eky gets thanked for telling toff right away, hovers over toff 'n misa to make sure mis is getting super duper cared for n super duper loved T_T
or if someone's having a bad day 'cuz of something, trying to pretend they're not, eky just taptaptap on wenny's shoulder, whispering in wenny's ear about what's wrong because wenny is papa and papa is good and can help fix whatever's wrong T_T
diverging from your original point a bit, im also thinking of like. a cliche scenario (in my mind i guess? i've read a lot of littlespace so a lot of tropes are used over n over again forgive me if it's not "cliche" but i love thinking of it as two cakes hehehe u can never have more of the same thing in different forms!!) of if one of the other littles broke a lamp or shattered a glass or something. walk with me:
ohhh this is gonna get a little sad. thinking about roughhousing willmack running in the house while the caregivers are out grocery shopping or just running an errand,, eky tasked to watch over them while the cgs are gone. eky running upstairs to get like their sippy cups, doesn't think much of it until he hears a crash and steps slowing down to a stop, runs downstairs to find will and mack looking over something
when he gets down, there it is--a crashed lamp, will trying to clean it up n hurting his hands while mack's trying to pull will away, they're both crying n sooo scared. hear eky come down the stairs and will sweeps even faster, mack starting to stutter out apologies and eky is !! so alarmed !!
sweet eky first bringing mack out of the danger zone,, setting him on the couch n getting him his lovey he can snuggle, then making enough effort to pull will away, will just apologizing over n over in eky's arms n his hands are shaking form all the glass, eky seating him next to mack so he can lean on mack and he has toff on speed dial of course, calling him with fumbling hands and frantically asking everyone to come home because there's a biiiig emergency T_T !! words all running together more than usual because of how frantic he is, ending the call and telling will n mack to just hold on for a little bit longer T_T reassuring them that everyone's coming back soon when they ask him over n over, holds them close to him,,
caregivers rushing back as fast as they can of course, toff's steady hands getting the glass out of smitty's palms, mack having cuddle time with cat, wenny hugs eky and tells him he did soo good making sure to let the cgs know, no one's mad at anybody, just happy everyone's okay T_T
of course that's just an abbreviated version but !! you get the gist !! would love to see you expand on what the other littles would possibly hide that eky would be so so ready to tell a trusted adult,, all ears open gosh im sooo intrigued ueee. more thoughts about this i will post about this some day as well...
oh the pressure thing hurts me so bad now #hecantignoreit #addressmeelephant ... but thinking pre-tr*de, it definitely was a lot for him and on him. he was bounced back n forth a lot (from what i know) and, like you said, the first piece of the rebuild. he talks about his early days with the sharks not often very fondly, with a quote that's always stuck out to me as "being sick of losing" or something along the lines of that. stress n everything would definitely wind up especially during those times resulting in a lot of bad sad n lonely little slips or some ones in front of other teammates that he couldn't prevent. think it gets better when he has more permanent faces n faces that are consistently coming back on the team. wenny n kilngy being swedes n being there for him too and giving him the sounds of home :"

and then we have discussed prior i believe.. but little macky (mackmack!!!!) i do truly think would be really quiet when he’s really little, definitely very mumble-y, talking through fingers in his mouth or around a paci more often than not
i also very much have a picture in my mind (similar to you incorporating mack’s little um um’s in ur most recent fic) that he would have quite a pronounced stutter/stammer when he’s really little, and the struggle to get words out or be able to fully get a sentence across in a way that makes sense to others is something that can really frustrate him, and leads either to some of those tantrums you just so wonderfully answered an ask about, or just a long stretch of a non verbal boy…
this then of course brings sooo much yummy lovely precious hurt comfort opportunities… mack’s catcat being so so patient with him whilst he works through a sentence, nodding encouragingly even when he stumbles over the same word over and over, or toff sitting quietly rocking with him when he’s feeling too small or too shy to talk ☹️☹️☹️☹️ oh sweetie

ohisdfj gmy god exactly that are you in my mind...i've thought that exact thing before i love the thought (real and true thought) of mackmack (!!!) mumbling through his fingers/paci and not noticing...when he's Especially nervous i think fingers will always be his go-to,, like kinda parsing/moving through each of them, little fidgety movements through his fingers, can barely hear a word he says even if the room is so quiet
banger after banger i can Absolutely see that about mack. especially with how much he takes his time and stammers/interrupts himself/pauses already...i also just think that makes so much sense for him. cuteness overload absolutely, but also it would just frustrate him to no end even though he can't do much about it, it just happens
Especially if he's talking with people he isn't comfortable with (thinking abt the habbas law guys saying mack got comfortable with them,, and how he sounds more relaxed when he's with people he's comfortable with in a non-formal/non-hockey-centric setting) or he's still shy around (thinking like. new trades when that will happen, getting used to people and having them leave and new people coming in). he'd 1000% get frustrated that 1. he can't get his words out in a way anyone can understand and 2. no one's understanding what he's already said since it's coming out so small slow and a little confusing. if i may, the tantrum could just lead into that shutdown and mute stretch that you mentioned: mack getting so tired and just trying to yell over and over again to get his words out but it's just Not Happening so he decides to just do a complete 180 and bottle everything up instead T_T

felicia's story where she calls eky "funcle" kind of killing me really bad like eating me from the inside out because i've talked a bit about how eky would get a long a bit with wenny's kids really well and. idk man that's eky's papa T_T if wmsm have tycat then wille has his wenny papa n felicia mama and they're just ripping him away from them T_T
okay that was a bit of a sad thought...
but just think about couch cuddle pile with eky in the middle,, just a lump under blankets and wenny and felicia on either side of them but that's not enough, eky slowly sitting up and maneuvering himself so he climbs onto wenny's back and just. buries his face in wenny's shoulder. it's the most inactive wenny n felicia have ever seen him T_T
klingberg coming over later too because wenny called him, swedes with swedes, klingy bringing his favorite candies and hand feeding them to wille because he's still very low energy, its the little littlest he's ever been

will or mack reaching for the ceramic bowls n eky stopping them because he remembers what cat said, gets their colorful plastic bowls instead so nothing breaks, gets all their favorite colors so everyone's happy. pours cereal veryyyy carefully, spills a little milk but nothing he can't wipe up and fix.
mack n will humming and kicking their legs under the table (sitting at like an island table on high stools or something) and just singing praises to eky for making them breakfast when everyone's asleep, so happy and "thank you" echoing through the kitchen T_T eats right in the middle, will n mack leaning on his shoulder and yapping to each other as they wait for eky to finish eating too T_T
