the way mack grew into his features makes me so sick :( he looks so much older now, the efforts of him coming so far are absolutely showing on his face and his build. mack losing his baby fat a little and gaining definition in his cheeks and jaw...the self assured pose in the recent pic...might feel crazy but i see a difference. not to mention just a difference in stats in general. first nhl goal puck vs. record-breaking puck. he has so much ahead of him!!

i also very much have a picture in my mind (similar to you incorporating mack’s little um um’s in ur most recent fic) that he would have quite a pronounced stutter/stammer when he’s really little, and the struggle to get words out or be able to fully get a sentence across in a way that makes sense to others is something that can really frustrate him, and leads either to some of those tantrums you just so wonderfully answered an ask about, or just a long stretch of a non verbal boy…
this then of course brings sooo much yummy lovely precious hurt comfort opportunities… mack’s catcat being so so patient with him whilst he works through a sentence, nodding encouragingly even when he stumbles over the same word over and over, or toff sitting quietly rocking with him when he’s feeling too small or too shy to talk ☹️☹️☹️☹️ oh sweetie

ohisdfj gmy god exactly that are you in my mind...i've thought that exact thing before i love the thought (real and true thought) of mackmack (!!!) mumbling through his fingers/paci and not noticing...when he's Especially nervous i think fingers will always be his go-to,, like kinda parsing/moving through each of them, little fidgety movements through his fingers, can barely hear a word he says even if the room is so quiet
banger after banger i can Absolutely see that about mack. especially with how much he takes his time and stammers/interrupts himself/pauses already...i also just think that makes so much sense for him. cuteness overload absolutely, but also it would just frustrate him to no end even though he can't do much about it, it just happens
Especially if he's talking with people he isn't comfortable with (thinking abt the habbas law guys saying mack got comfortable with them,, and how he sounds more relaxed when he's with people he's comfortable with in a non-formal/non-hockey-centric setting) or he's still shy around (thinking like. new trades when that will happen, getting used to people and having them leave and new people coming in). he'd 1000% get frustrated that 1. he can't get his words out in a way anyone can understand and 2. no one's understanding what he's already said since it's coming out so small slow and a little confusing. if i may, the tantrum could just lead into that shutdown and mute stretch that you mentioned: mack getting so tired and just trying to yell over and over again to get his words out but it's just Not Happening so he decides to just do a complete 180 and bottle everything up instead T_T

okay i think i have to define who i think of as little baby sharkies before i answer this question: willmack (duh) mis sam cherny eky graf. apologies to asky mukh and zack i just can't envision it and i don't wanna bus driver them and write them as littles when my heart's not in it fr, but it may change who knows!
as you may know from other asks, their little ages fluctuate a lot in my head, but if i had to put them in order from youngest to oldest on any given day:
mack n mis are just the littlest ittiest bittiest babies 2 ever baby very soft and sweet (well, mis is, i think mack's a little all over the place but that's because he's a baby, you can't blame him!). super duper sensitive and very much need someone around them practically at all times just to be safe
cherny older than mack and mis by just a margin (because i think he would regress to infancy sometimes) but usually stays a bit older than them, probably smaller when he's around people who will understand him better (THE RUSSIANS) (ORLOV 🚨🚨🚨)
will next because i don't feel like he’d regress all the way to infancy like the other three do but he’s generally around the young ish toddlers age (2-5), gaining their bearings but still quite small. very imaginative and playful and of course quite loud as we all know!1
eky baby would just like to have fun n take care of his little brothers!! and be doted on by his caregivers all at once!! he has lots of fun roughhousing with them but i think he would beam and shine as he's adored by the caregivers Especially wenny and awesome klinger. he gets the middle child best of both worlds.
little dickie is a big silly and i think he’d have so much fun playing and being there for the baby babies. i hc little dickie as a big big talker and explainer and gesturer and he’s very very …conscious? might be the right word? i think he’s just super aware of himself. dickie would find the camera at any angle. he's the fourth wall break, grabbing toff's camcorder recording their moments and shaking it around because he's saying hello to the video, steals the camcorder and runs around recording everybody else and saying hi and he giggles as toff chases him in the background audio

for some reason i think little sam would love story time? he'd love to be tucked into bed with a good book and listen to his cgs read to him, interjecting every so often with his own opinions or talking about how he learned a big word recently, but he gets tired quickly and kinda just knocks out like a light if im being honest here

when they're little, they're holding hands all. the. time. i'm talking about for everything: after they wake up and are groggily eating breakfast at the table, in the car on the way to wherever, just when they're on the couch watching something. they're inseparable i think
dickie likes helping misa get dressed and is very proud when he buttons up teeny misa's buttons on his shirt,, or they've got matching onesies and sam zips it allll the way up and misa giggles and hides in the hood of his onesie
sam's misa's talker when mis gets quiet, like baby baby quiet, all of misa's words go into and out through sam who proudly relays the information to their cgs, happy that misa trusts him with very important and valuable information (misa's thoughts)
misa breaking one of his toys and he starts tearing up and a little sob escapes his mouth and sam immediately whips his head over to mis and finds the problem and fixes the toy and misa beams it's almost blinding, really, but sam gives him a ruffle of the head and says it's no problem and misa throws himself onto sam and gives him a very long and deep hug

angie i've put this clip on LOOP since you sent it in to me T_T i lov the way sid says "moouthguard" and how his voice is so soft with kids especially since he usually has vocal fry when he speaks!!! it reminds me of this clip i love watching because of just how high and smooth his voice is here!! there's another clip similar to it that i can't find right now.

i don't think i've properly verbalized how much i LOVE cat's photo dump like oh my god despite not making the playoffs this year was a very hearty year for shark family enjoyers like she loves her babies SO much T_T the pictures of her with will's family members, her having at least one of them in nearly every other photo (9 pictures if im counting correctly--including non-face appearances and mack's sap poster cameo--so nearly half of the dump!!!) ugh ugh i love cat so much and i love the power of sharks family SO MUCH misa her Child child and willmack her firstborns like this is so real and serious she loves them so much T_T
