Zombies

Big used to be cities came as no surprise to Anne when there were beyond many hordes of zombies, however, nightfall in the cold damp area, wasn’t good for her to be roaming despite how nice it felt, so she took refuge for the night in some abandoned hotel. Managing to keep a low profile and away from the mass of zombies.

Been what felt like forever she’d been walking in the heat of the endless lands of wherever she landed, she started off in Illinois at some point and had been roaming blindly. Not much was ever left from the greedy bastards at the beginning of all this mess, and she sure was in no luck when she caught some people digging through her things one night and managed to get away. That probably had been the last time she trusted people, and all she had on her was barely enough to get her through the week once she finally got the chance to look.

She took herself a fairly stable and cleanish room despite the now rotting corpse of a walker she killed, so she locked the door in case of really anything. She settled by the window so the moonlight shone down as she settled out all her things, her black boots, kicked to the side. Her feet covered in bandages from all the blisters she’s received from walking nonstop.

she gulped down a small bottle of water, deciding to take a protein bar for dinner instead of a complete meal, in which she had instant noodles and plenty of protein bars and then the several water bottles. She felt too tired as of then to bother making something fully so the food could be saved for another night.

She got herself comfortable on a mattress, after giving some hard thought of a plan in the morning to rummage through what she could of the town before trying to hightail out of it. She felt uneasy, her hand gripped her gun. She could hear gunfire, and she wasn’t sure if there was one or several people out there, but it sounded close. The person or persons were likely stupid using a loud gun anyways, maybe she could scan the dead bodies tomorrow, that’s likely where they were heading.

No more thoughts were given after that, her hand loosened on the gun as she drifted away into a peaceful slumber. Or at least, almost peaceful.
