Possession
Scenario Roulette: 5. The second-to-last person got possessed by SOMETHING (possibly evil) and can’t control themself.
How could they have been so careless...?
It started as an ordinary night for the pale prince, he awoke from his undisturbed slumber like every night before, he went about his daily duties as he had done every night before. He was groomed, dressed, ate and did some amount of reading like every night before. And, just like clockwork, he went to his father's side to provide him company; for the loss of his wife still haunted him regularly, and it was Alucard's hope that by being there for him, Dracula would eventually come back to his senses and would cease his desire for bloodshed and war. And while it seemed fruitless, there were some times throughout the eve that the two would speak casually, and Alucard made it his goal during these conversations to speak of anything but the war or Lisa. And today was no different, once Dracula finished up with a task, he asked Alucard how his night was going. And Alucard gladly responded, detailing all he had done like a well behaved prince and son.
Eventually, this casual conversation led to Dracula's idea of seeing Alucard's progression with his training. Alucard agreed to show him, despite knowing his father intended to invite him to fight in the war should he deem him ready, and the two had made their way toward the training grounds of the castle. While there, Dracula pit his son against various types of soldiers and monsters, and he watched as his son defeated each one with great strength and elegance. Not once did his son lose his composure or footing. And for that, Dracula was proud.
Until... Something unforeseen had happened.
Facing off against a demon with powerful magic, Alucard had fought the creature and had nearly won. However, the demon panicked, and in her frantic attempts to flee from Alucard's vicious, but graceful, ruthlessness, she had cast a spell. A spell that caused the demon to vanish into a cloud of magic. A puff that Alucard unintentionally absorbed. To the spectators of the fight, it had appeared as though Alucard had fully slain the demon and absorbed her soul. However, that was far from the case. The demon had unknowingly used a spell of possession and had... Accidentally taken possession of Alucard.
Fearing for her life, as she new Dracula would not approve of a demon possessing his son, the demon acted as Alucard, saying he had slew the demon and added her power to his own. Dracula congratulated his son for besting so many creatures, and was surprised and impressed that Alucard had learned and mastered the Power of Dominance without his father knowing.
"It was to surprise you, father." Alucard responded; his outward appearance completely calm but inward, the demon freaked wildly with panic and worry.
"I look forward to seeing you on the frontlines, my son." Dracula reached a hand out and placed it to his shoulder." So long have I awaited the day where you would fight along side me, taking from the humans what they took from us all those moons ago."
The demon could only make Alucard smile, and afterward, the father and son parted ways for the time being by Alucard’s, or the demon's, request. And so now here we are, at present time. Alucard swiftly makes his way through the halls of this dark and haunted fortress. His destination is the alchemists laboratory, located far within the castle depths. The demon, still in control, has no idea how to undo her spell... And she must find a way to free the prince, and soon, before she is found out and slain by her lord... Or by anyone else who deems her a traitor for possessing the Prince of Vampires.
