Makoto honestly couldn’t believe that he was at a Starish concert. He had never been into the music, but his little sister insisted upon seeing the idols in person, and he could never say no to her. The concert was alright, he supposed, and as he looked at his sister’s smiling face, standing in the crowd was suddenly worth it.
About half way through the performance, he looked at his watch, then, out of habit, looked at the timer on the inside of his wrist. His eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and his jaw dropped to the ground. He had about 30 seconds until his numbers would hit zero. HERE?? HOW WILL I FIND THEM?? He looked around frantically, trying to find anyone else who was looking around, but couldn’t see anything because of the bouncing glow sticks and the rapidly changing stage lights.
He decided to just wait and see what happened. Can a timer really run out if you don’t have a soul mate? What if I don’t find them in the crowd? Fortunately for him, he wouldn’t have to worry about that. As the song the band was singing ended, his wrist beeped, and so did one of the singers’. Tokiya looked at his wrist and looked out at the crowd. A camera was on his face, and he appeared on a big screen as he spoke into his microphone again.
"Did… Did someone else’s time just run out?" The stadium was silent for a moment before Makoto spoke up.
"Mine did," he said softly, but he cleared his throat and spoke more clearly. "Mine did!" He waved his hand, and Tokiya saw him and smiled.
"What’s your name?" Tokiya asked, his voice almost cracking.
"Makoto!"
"Makoto," he repeated fondly. "Come back stage later! I’ll be waiting!" With that, he ran off the stage, wiping happy tears from his face. Makoto had to take a breath to stop his heart from pounding. He looked down at his sister and a huge smile almost split his face in half.
"Looks like you’ll be seeing a lot more of Starish in the future."
