Headcanon: When Qetsiyah channeled Bonnie's power in order to resurrect Kol, it was not out of malice or with the purpose to harm the girl. But it was necessary as to use such a level of power would of killed Qetsiyah and channeling the power through both Niklaus and Bonnie, the latter of which is her descendant, was the only way to prevent herself from being killed or certain factions from the Other Side from interfering.

SILAS RISING | Mystic After Dark RPG

Plot Prompt: Silas Rising.

Real Life Time Span: 31 January- 31 February 2013. (Subject to possible time extension.)

RP Time Span: One Week.

Who is involved: RPG Wide.

Notes: While this is the overall current plot point of the RPG there will still be past roleplays and smaller one on one/group interactions being played out during this time to help establish the characters within this plot. The overall plot prompt is a guideline designed to keep the storyline moving and to give a general cohesive plotline to follow rpg wide.

In the wake of Elena becoming a vampire and with rumors of a cure for vampirism running rampant within the supernatural community, both friends and foes have been found inserting themselves into the politics and social infrastructure of the town of Fells Church and some have found that they might just be pawns in a much bigger plan. There are some whom wish to prevent the rising of Silas while others seek to bring about his awakening, but what no one realizes is that there is a much deeper game at play, one at the very heart of light and darkness; with emotions high, vampires, werewolves, hybrids, and witches running rampant, and the balance further being disturbed by a resurrection spell, the stakes have just risen to new extremes as Silas lays in wait, his inner motivations unknown and biding his time to unleash a new time of reckoning upon the world, a two thousand year reflection causing him to seek to restore a balance that was never meant to be altered to begin with, or, at least that’s what he would like everyone to believe...

Events:

The Devil's Lament: As everyone works toward finding the cure, Elena and her friends devise a plan to both reduce Jeremy's danger level and complete his Hunter's mark. The plan? Kill Kol Mikaelson. But what no one realized was that Kol too had allies, powerful allies and the Original Family will not take too kindly to their brother's death, even if he is brought back by Qetsiyah soon after his demise. This event is the RPG Opening Event and will begin just after the 'death' of Kol. Elena and company meeting at the Salvatore boarding house and Niklaus being found and released by Qetsiyah. The question is, can everyone make it out of Mystic Falls alive?

The Island: As everyone ventures to the Island, the search for Silas continues as two lines are clearly drawn, turning into an 'us against them' dynamic. With Kol now back from the dead, new truths revealed, new and old faces, and a taste of revenge in the air, the only question is will everyone live long enough to witness the rising of Silas? And furthermore will those whom seek to stop it succeed or will a new age of chaos be brought upon the world? This event will take place over the second part of the month and lead up until the point when Silas rises at which time a new plot prompt will be published.

Two-thousand years ago lived a witch among a nomadic tribe in Eastern lands. Growing up she was no stranger to the violence and harsh realities of the chaotic world around her, being sold off by her father into a marriage and rival house that she did not want. Nor was she a stranger to the magic that held the very fabric of the world.

Growing into a woman, she was both valued and manipulated for her magical gifts and her husband eventually dying in battle though leaving her with a child, Dagon. That was until she naively fell in love with another, a warlock so powerful that he could grant himself immortality, a warlock that had taught her the ways of the magical craft himself. However, as the legend states Qetsiyah was not the love Silas sought to share his immortality with as he merely and selfishly used her to seek his own means, and Qutsiyah hardened by this, reacting with rage, in the end vowing to never allow another to use her or to raise Silas ever again as he would only bring pain, death, and suffering to all in his path including her. Over the years she hardened further, seeking power and harnessing magic for her own means.

“There is no stronger power then what flows through my veins, other then Silas, and I assure you.. you would rather deal with I then the wrath he would unleash.”

As years past she was able to sustain herself using the darker sides of magic. However almost a thousand years after these events took place and with the creation of the Original Vampires and rise of The Five, Qetsiyah became curious and traveled to Eastern continent. It was during this time she met Kol, an Original Vampire whom she eventually formed a strange somewhat dysfunctional fondness of. Eventually, Qutsiyah had, against her better judgement developed feelings for the Original and confided the truth of the legend of Silas and the dangers Silas’ rising could present to him and his family as they had encountered a cult whom worshiped Silas. And for a time, all was moderately well. But as everyone knows all good things must come to an end; though powerful she was was not immune to everything and when this cult discovered whom she was, she met her end by a combination of magic and blade, a blade in which cut through her back and pierced her heart.

However her body endured, being preserved by a Korean witch named Hyun-Jung while her spirit crossed over to The Other Side. It would not be for centuries, that the bloodknot spell would be cast with descendants of Hyun-Jung which would allow her spirit to channel a whole line of witches and reenter her body in the 21st century. With the danger of Silas being awakened with the vampire cure, she has been awakened and just as before has vowed not to allow Silas to rise again, being willing to do anything to stop it. Her one and only true ally in this, Kol Mikaelson, and while she does place a level of trust love in him she is still cautious.
