John met Tessa at an event and was immediately drawn to her, a beautiful smile and he couldn't really help but be drawn in and she seemed pleased.
He wasn't sure he'd felt this way since Isobel, so he let himself get closer to her and she took full advantage, asking about his family, the people and things he cared for and he talked. He took her back to Mystic Falls, and she smiled as she introduced them all to her.

Qetsiyah didn't really think it'd be so easy to get to Amara's newest double, but John was so... sweet. A little pathetic, but sweet.
She smiled as saw Elena the first time, the girl was... adorable, she convinced John to be staying a while, wanting to get to know his home town. And she was fine, even watching Elena from afar. Until she saw her with Bonnie.
That's when she fully started planning, the duo reminded her just a little too much of herself and Amara.

When Johns brother and wife died, he pushed him to settle down there for a while to help. Jenna also stayed, and she was slow as she planned, setting up somewhere to go.
Then four months later, she returned before the other adults to see Elena and Bonnie with the newest mirror of Silas.
She forced a smile as Elena introduced her.
Well, she had another room to be set up.
