can you teach me how you color your drawings?
I've noticed that the white you use is actually gray, and I've noticed that your drawings are somewhat grayish but still have vivid colors. can you teach me how to do that?
i like using pale creams (off-white) for the 'white' and dark blue/purple (off-black) for the 'black', specially when it comes to lineart. theyre very flexible and adaptable with palettes with bright colors, the contrast will always be strong between them. depending on the palette you'll be working with, the hue of the off-colors shift accordingly.
neutral & pale colors will make brighter and bold ones pop out even more. also pitch black or white backgrounds always helps everything pop out more. it 'encases' it in a void, and focus is solely on the illustration.
