I just imagine a scenario where jason is with the bats, could be a gala or some civilian something, and they are all joking about looks and who can flirt and get more numbers and what not, and they're gonna make jason the butt of the joke as per usual, except a devastingly handsome, slightly older man approaches and is very VERY clearly interested in jason and ONLY jason. he isn't creepy or pushy, just earnest and whole heartedly smitten with jason.

and maybe they expect the man to receive a mean quip or a swift rejection. but instead, to their utter suprise, jason just blushes, really soft and gentle and takes the number handed to him on a slip of paper, batting his eyelashes and tucking a little curl behind his ear.

and all the bats are shocked, thats not at all what they were expected. And the thing is, IT KEEPS HAPPENING.

a middle aged woman, a young new CEO, a silver fox with a smooth accent, keep approaching jason throughout the night, with either hungry or starstruck eyes.

roaming over inky, bouncing curls, high cheekbones and clear skin, broad shoulders, supple chest, tiny waist, stunning ass and legs. just jason being devastingly attractive and people wanting him, and making it known. and jason just being overwhelmed and flattered but soaking it in.

i keep thinking about your pretty boy jason and idk if its actually canon (cause idgaf about bruce THAT much in all honesty) but people say jason looks like bruce, and if he does,,, wasted potential.

definitely not capitalizing on it enough. cause people like to hc that bruce looks like martha, in those cases jason looking like bruce inevitably means he looks like martha.

and, my own person hc is that jason is a little more feminine in his looks (longer lashes, rounder cheeks, poutier lips etc etc), so looking like martha even more prominent

that means in the end, what you could potentially get, is bruce beating his son half to death, and laying there, instead of jason (his son, which is already fucked up), its his dying mother all over again, but this time, he’s not a bystander or a victim, he’s on the other side of the gun.

i've never seen anyone say jason looks like martha but now i'm IN LOVEEEE with this headcanon. i agree about the bruce thing LOL i personally dislike jason looking like bruce 👎 but MARTHA? i love him looking like willis too but that's unrelated.

and then when he looks back down at jason, he just sees his mama instead. his mama who lay folded over his papa, long lashes dusting over her increasingly pale cheeks-- full lips cracking and peeling. blood seeping into her clothes and running a trail towards his feet.

he doesn't even realize roy showed up to save jason until he's being shoved back by an arrow. and bruce is waiting, he's waiting and pleading for his mama's face to disappear and for him to see jason again but it doesn't happen.

all he can see is his mama, unconscious and limp in roy harper's arms.

I’m pretty sure you’ve said this exactly, but I love the idea of Jason being smaller (and younger-looking) than expected when out of costume. Like he’s still tall and muscular, but he’s leaner and has curves that aren’t highlighted when he’s dressed as Red Hood because any and all space is used for additional padding and armour. He hides in his jacket. His boots add like 4 inches to his height, and his helmet appears far more angular than his face actually is (he has round, chubby cheeks, biteability 10/10). He’s such a cutie patootie that he has to be dressed as Red Hood with every inch of his skin covered up, because otherwise it’s game over. No more successful physical intimidation. Everyone within a 20 mile radius is either hitting on him or making heart eyes at him. They’re doing that anyways.

this kinda relates to my headcanons about arkham knight jason making his armour larger than he really is to make him feel like he has more power (due to joker taking it away from him). but absolutely red hood jason uses additional padding and gives himself extra height with his cunty gigantic leather boots omg. yes the pit healed his stunted height but not enough to satisfy him (he has a vision of what he's supposed to look like, okay?!)

+ him using a voice modulator to sound deep and scary, meanwhile his voice out of the helmet is embarrassingly a little high pitched and cracks way too much (#stuntedpuberty)

I hate it when artists draw Jason as a bruce wayne clone, but it does such funny worldbuilding for my interpretation of Willis Todd. Because in my mind, Jason is Willis's Boy. Sure, he's got some stuff from his Mama and you can see a lil of his birth mother, but that's all a lot of his Daddy. And I know Willis had GAME. And if Jason looks like bruce, that means Willis also prolly looked like Bruce. And like,

1) That's funny as fuck. If only Willis had the resources of a better life....

2) Angsty potential of Jaybin post adoption delirious off of something while in the suit and calling an unmasked bruce 'Papa' because he thought Willis was there. bruce does not assume this and thinks, "Aw yiss, the probably abused kid I took after he stole my tires because poor people are terrible parents and (insert more classist bullshit) finally thinks of me as a father, this is great." Meanwhile, Jason is like, "Papa... come back... hugs...."

3) Death mistakes Willis for bruce and brings him back to life because batman can't die yet or some shit

4) bruce and Willis separately enter a bruce wayne lookalike contest and Willis wins while bruce places second.

5) Willis dresses up in a homemade batsuit, breaks into the batcave, and beats up bruce, who lets him just out of sheer confusion while Jason cheers.

Anywho, all in all, I think it could be funny. Because I KNOWWWW in my heart that Willis Todd was one charming motherfucker because how the hell else do you get LADY SHIVA in your phone book???

I also completely agree that jason's type is older people. (Sladejay and Constantine x Jason are my fav ships, jason absolutely endears himself to older men who hate everyone else and treat him like a princess that could kill them, very fiona from shrek vibes if you catch me).

But ppl talk about jason looking like bruce alot, but i think one day he's staring at himself in the mirror and realizes its willis staring back at him, and that warms his heart so he grows his hair out, just to the base of his neck so he can embrace his curls. He gets piercings he always wanted, 2 in each lobe, an industrial maybe. And i think distancing himself from the bats a bit gives him back a healthy glow in his eyes, because he's not fighting to prove his worth to people who keep moving the goal post.

And maybe the bats see him again, with roy and kori at some big world ending fiasco, helmet off, laughing and smiling and looking happy and they realize that they have not seen him happy in a long time.

I'm obsessed with the idea of the JLA and another heroes meeting jason after having only heard news of his actions or the bats biased perception of things. but meeting jason completely changes things because he's magnetic, just so charming and intelligent and unfairly fucking gorgeous. Especially when they get him started on things he loves. Gotham, books, cooking, kids.

Roy has his hand around Jason's waist, looking at him fondly. Kori fondly runs a hand through his curls. Jason being loved and accepted for just being who he is without having to shape and distort himself of his morals.

I have many thoughts about jason and the wider hero community, of him finally pushing off the isolation that Batman forced on him both as Robin and now as Red Hood by controlling the narrative around him.

jason is SOOO fiona from shrek coded omg wait he deserves that kind of princess treatment. he's not afraid to be himself and if that means being flawed or being disapproved by society (other heroes + bats) then fuck it. he's still gonna be himself and not let other people, especially those who have let him down, change him. very fiona of him to get with people everyone else would disapprove of.

yes yes yes to jason specifically going after older men. it's not even that he's doing it consciously. they just always happen to be older than him and they're usually the ones seeking him out. he has that mistreated puppy look that attracts older dudes and makes them wanna spoil him with love and that gruff affection. very healing for his daddy issues to be treated with unconditional love for once by an older man who could very well be his dad. it's a dangerous game to play considering his age and theirs but it always works out (to the absolute appall of bruce)

And i was reading your tags about making an oc to insert as his dad, and i just need to talk about this au i have in my head of willis being broken out of jail in a chaos breakout as per usual and somehow he survives after jason passes, resenting wayne for letting his boy die, while wishing desperately for his baby back. I think in a beautiful juxtaposition of bruce's warped grief, willis does good for the alley because that's what jason would have wanted.

Then the Red Hood hits Gotham like a fucking freight train. and willis keeps his distance even though he's heard good things and one night, he's loading supplies for Leslie when he sees his baby's scared face while he holds his bloody throat. Jason dealing with bruce's betrayal only to find the father that loved him till the ends if the earth still alive.

Willis holding jason gently as he gets stitched up by leslie, whispering about how brave and strong his sweet little prince is, how he missed him and he's sorry but it's alright because Papa's gonna keep him safe now, he's okay.

Just jason crying in a warbled and pained voice for his papa, clinging to willis, and willis with his son's blood on his hand cooing and kissing his boy's sweaty forehead planning hellish retribution for whoever hurt his precious baby.

alsoooo i see him working with jason on comms during patrol/missions and they have the cutest conversations. jason is NOT used to someone praising him this much when he's working. it's usually some belittling remark from one of the bats telling him to keep his "anger" in check or reminding him not to kill so wdymmm there's someone now constantly chatting in his ears about how smart he is?! he is NOT surprised it's his dad because willis has always been very open with his affection and praise but still. the last time bruce was like this was when he was robin.

sometimes the bats will just openly gape at him when they hear a giggle from underneath the helmet. and why is jason not paying them any attention??
