Sebastian had a surprisingly good time on his date with Ryder. Not that he was surprised it went well, but surprised by how well they seemed to click. If he was being honest, Sebastian was going into the date mostly to get laid, but early into their dinner, he found himself wanting to get to know Ryder better, and he easily abandoned that objective. Besides, he was always a sucker for a sweet, dorky brunette. Since the restaurant selection in Lima wasn’t really up to Sebastian’s standards, the one he took Ryder to was about a forty minute drive outside of the city, which gave them plenty of time to continue their conversation (and flirting). Then, Sebastian finally pulled up in front of Ryder’s dorm and he put his car into park, unbuckling his seatbelt so he could turn to face his date. “So, did tonight hold up to your standards?” Sebastian teased, referring back to Ryder’s request to be wined and dined. When Ryder had suggested that he wanted to be wined and dined before, he had mostly just been stalling. He wasn't ready to go further with Sebastian, but he didn't want to reject the guy either. Not when making out with him was so much fun. So it'd seemed like a good compromise, he'd never expected Sebastian to actually follow up on it or use the phone number that Ryder had given him at the end of the night. The date had been a lot of fun though. There were some early nerves on his part, but he'd definitely relaxed over the course of the evening. Dinner had consisted of great food and even better company. Sebastian was charming, witty and an outrageous flirt when he wanted to be. Ryder was already hooked. "Tonight exceeded all expectations," Ryder smiled as he undid his seatbelt. "Really, dinner was amazing. I had a great time, thank you," He added, turning to face Sebastian.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," Sebastian smiled. He let his eyes drift over Ryder's face for a moment, taking in all of his features. Beneath Sebastian's inital intake of hot face, hot bod (as far as he could tell), Ryder's features clearly read soft and cute, and Sebastian couldn't believe he didn't notice at the party. He'll blame that on the intoxication. "You didn't mind the drive, did you? I know it was a bit of a trek, but I thought you deserved a little better than Breadstix." "Not at all," Ryder shook his head at the question. "The food was way better, plus a longer drive means more time together so it's a win-win." He said, smiling at Sebastian warmly. "And who wouldn't enjoy being driven around in this car? It's so much nicer than my heap of junk, I feel like a passenger princess right now," He added, looking around the car's interior. It was significantly more comfortable and luxurious than his own, and he had enjoyed being driven around for the evening. Ryder had only ever dated girls before, meaning he was usually the one doing the driving, taking the lead, choosing the restaurants. It was nice to be on the other side for once, feeling special with Sebastian's attention focused on him. Sebastian was about to reply to Ryder's comment about the restaurant's food, how it was one of the best restaurants anywhere near the Lima area, but when Ryder continued, it softened Sebastian's smile and knocked the thought out of his mind. Ryder liked spending time with him. That was sweet. "Well I do prefer to drive, so you can be my passenger princess anytime," Sebastian laughed, leaning in a little closer to Ryder. "I'll reserve that role just for you." Ryder's smile widened into a grin at Sebastian's words, enjoying the warm feeling they gave him. He noticed the other man leaning in, mirroring his movements. He'd been looking forward to kissing Sebastian all night. He was pretty sure it was going to be their first sober kiss, and he liked that there was no-one around but them for this. There were no sweaty bodies in clubs, no drunk costumed glee clubbers surrounding them. It was just the two of them. "I happily accept the role. I'm also happy to accept payment in kisses," He joked, leaning the rest of the way over the centre console to press his lips against Sebastian's. Payment in kisses? Could Ryder get any cuter? When he saw Ryder move closer, Sebastian leaned in, meeting Ryder in the middle. Sebastian kissed Ryder once, then twice, before snaking his hand up to cup Ryder's cheek, brushing his thumb lightly against his skin. The kiss wasn't as intense as the week prior, but it was strong in a different way, a way he hadn't felt in a long while. After one more kiss Sebastian pulled back just enough to see Ryder's face, hand still resting against his cheek. "How much do I owe you?" he asked, eyes falling to Ryder's lips. He didn't want to push the other male, not after what happened at the Halloween party. He assumed Ryder wasn't someone who jumped into things, and he didn't want him to feel like he was putting any pressure on him to do anything more than what he wanted. "I have plenty to spare."
Ryder was thrilled to find out that kissing Sebastian was just as good sober as it was whilst he was drunk. It may even be better, if the goosebumps on his arms were anything to go by. He opened his eyes as Sebastian pulled back, enjoying the feel of the other man's hand on his cheek. "Mhmm you still owe me a few more yet, I don't come cheap," Ryder joked, eliminating the space between them as he kissed Sebastian once again. He moved his lips slower this time, trying to savour the kiss for as long as possible.
Sebastian let out a soft laugh at Ryder's joke, smiling against his lips as they began kissing once again. While he was leaving it open for Ryder to stop if he wanted to, he was thankful that he didn't. He let the shorter male take lead, slowing his pace to match Ryder's, but after a few moments he couldn't help himself from deepening the kiss, slipping his tongue into Ryder's mouth. He let himself get lost in the moment, giving a quiet, satisfied hum against Ryder's lips.
Ryder matched Sebastian's energy, returning the deepened kiss with one of his own. The kisses were hot, and starting to get a little heavy. A part of him wanted nothing more than to invite Sebastian into his dorm, to fully explore where the rest of their physical relationship could go. But whilst he definitely wanted that, there was still a cloud of anxiety hovering over him, telling him that he didn't know Sebastian well enough yet to trust him with that part of him. "Mhmmm I should probably go soon," He mumbled when they next broke apart. He didn't really mean it or want it, but it seemed like the right time to stop. "Well maybe five more minutes," He added as he caught sight of Sebastian's eyes, finding himself drawn back in like a magnet for another kiss.
Sebastian trailed after Ryder's lips when he broke away, before taking the chance to breathe as Ryder spoke. Go? Sebastian didn't want him to go. He wanted to live in this moment for so much longer. He wanted all of Ryder, and he wanted him now. Fuck, hard to get was so sexy, and he was breaking down so much sooner than originally expected. "Five more," Sebastian agreed, meeting Ryder's lips once again, fingers moving to tangle in the hair at the nape of Ryder's neck as they kissed. Forget five minutes, could Ryder have an extra forty five of this? Or another hour? Kissing Sebastian was intoxicating, especially when the other man was playing with his hair like that. He hated his intimacy issues in moments like these, why did his own body and mind have to get in the way of him having fun? He was pretty sure it’d be fun with Sebastian. He’d lost count of the number of kisses they’d shared by the time they broke apart again. “So, uh, yeah, I had a really great time tonight,” Ryder was sure he’d already said that earlier but his nerves were starting to creep back in. He decided he wasn’t going to offer any explanation for his early exit. Lots of people didn’t put out on a first date, he’d save his excuses for any future outings between them. How Sebastian reacted was going to be key as to whether there were any more dates in their future anyway. “Hopefully we can do this again sometime?” Ryder offered, deciding to be optimistic about a second date.
Sebastian's heart sunk when Ryder pulled away, letting his hand fall from Ryder's hair as he fell back slowly, reluctantly returning to sit up straight in his seat. His eyes were locked on Ryder's the entire time; he was sort of hoping the other male would give up playing hard to get after a make out session like that - besides, Sebastian practically already had him anyway - but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It was probably for the best anyway; it was taking all of Sebastian's willpower to not let his hands wander while they kissed, to not move his lips down Ryder's neck... "Definitely," Sebastian nodded. "Text me?" Ryder watched as Sebastian moved back, holding his eye contact as he did so. He looked so hot, his lips redder than usual where Ryder had been kissing them. It was taking all of Ryder's willpower not to lean in again, feeling a pull towards the other man. But Ryder had rushed into things before with new people and it had never ended well. He didn't want to risk that with Sebastian. Things were too exciting, too promising, to risk crashing and burning over his impatience. By now, he knew his body and this was what it took if he wanted things to last. "You got it, get home safe," Ryder smiled. He leaned over the centre console one more time, cradling Sebastian's jaw with one hand as he pressed a quick peck to his lips. He flashed one last smile at his date for the evening before he was climbing out of the car, ready to head back to his dorm.
