Hey there,

First off, thank you for creating such good gameplay mods, they add lots of cool gameplay to my game! I have a question about the fairies mod, because the Sims will come out with their own fairies pack soon. Will your mod still be compatible with future updates? And will it be modified to work with the new pack? I really like the way you did fairies in the sims and I'd like to keep using that after the Sims releases theirs, so I'm hoping it'll be possible to do so or to perhaps have both simultaneously.😊

A lot of people have been asking about this. First and foremost, the pack won’t directly conflict with the mod any more than the other packs that come out. As always, bugs are possible, but shouldn’t be too serious. As for my plans, my current plan is to keep FvW active and add to it/alter it to fit with the game’s lore and I will probably be creating a separate “Expanded Fairies” mod to enhance the pack’s fairies. Both mods will be compatible with each other and work together! :)

tldr; The FvW mod isn’t going anywhere and I’ll probably make a new mod to expand EA’s fairies! ✌🏼

Hello! Thank you for all your wonderful mods! I am having some trouble with the fairies vs witches mod and the new enchanted by nature expansion pack. In my game the alignment need and the orb motive over lap the new emotional force motive for EA fairies. I removed all my other mods and cc, to see if it was a mod conflict but it remained the same.

This is going to be an issue until I can rework the mod to accommodate for hybrids between my fairies and EA’s. You may be able to use cheats to hide the Alignment motive and that *might restore the emotion motive for fairies, but I’m not entirely sure. This will be worked on for the next update! :)

Hello! I apologize, I know you're hard at work with the new updates for Fairies vs Witches, it's my favorite mod. I'm a huge occult nerd and I love being able to be an actual witch instead of a spellcaster in game. But in the lore of my game, my sim casted the fertility spell on her mother because having another child was on her mom's bucket list, and right now my sim is trying to learn how to resurrect her girlfriend lol so I felt like...the fertility spell would be a good lore friendly middle ground spell for her? Like the spell she uses as a lead up to actively raising the dead? Lol but I noticed in the little buff her mom got that it says infants conceived with the fertility spell get a special trait but my infant hasn't gotten it yet which makes me think I accidentally messed something up. Lol So I was wondering if you could tell me what the trait was called and if I could just add it to my infant manually? Thank you for your help, and thank you for making such a beautiful mod, I truly believe my game would not be as fun without it! 💕

Hi there! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the mod! :)

The fertility spell doesn’t actually have its own special trait, but the resulting child from the spell might end up being born as a fairy or a witch, depending on who casted the spell. So, it’s mostly effective for human sims.

That being said, if you’re looking for some fun narrative drama, there are two special traits you can get from losing/regaining your magic, which you could manually add with cheats to add a little challenge. These are the “Siphoner” and “Volatile Magic” traits. Siphoners can’t produce their own magic energy and must absorb it from external sources, while sims with Volatile Magic have powers that get a little out of control and can have unpredictable effects.

hello, i love your work! i just got the better exceptions mod from twistedmexi, and when i tried it out it found a few conflicts within your own mods with each other. i double checked to make sure i have the up-to-date versions, and i'm pretty confident they're installed correctly. i don't know much about programming so if these results aren't relevant i apologize, but i thought it might be good to let you know just in case? i've attached screenshots of the results. i'm not sure how well tumblr does with asks that have images in them, so if this doesn't work should i message you the screenshots?

These aren't actually "conflicts". Better Exceptions flags them as conflicting because they share the same resource id, which is just to say that they're duplicates that use the same sound or text files between different mods. Because they're just identical files, they won't actually conflict or cause any issues.

HI there !!

First, i love your content, especially your fairies vs witches mod, i also use the Unicorn mod. All of them are very very complete and add so much life to our game !! so thank you for your creations :D however, i would like to report some bugs i have encountered, hopefully it can be fixed. For fairies ( i have not tested witches yet ) : I have the spell to speed up plants growth but here's the issue, the interaction bubble when you select a plant is blank ( just a white bubble under the spells category ). The second bug, about the crystal to summon NPC merchant. In live mode, it is selectable and can be moved but when clicked on it no pie menu shows up and no sims appear, can't put it in the inventory or place it and interact on any Non residential lot.

As far as unicorns, i don't know if its supposed to be like that but when they spawn they either sleep or TP away within 10min (in game time )

I’m not sure why the spell would he blank, but it might reference a missing string, so I’ll check that out.

The crystal isn’t supposed to have any interactions, but it’s supposed to spawn a spectral merchant, so I’ll take a look at that too.

As for the unicorns, I’ve attempted to control their behavior, but horses in general have a baseline autonomy that tends to push them back to their home lot/household and the sleeping seems to also be tied to this, as their needs are frozen when spawning and shouldn’t be pushing them to sleep.

Hey, thanks for all the work you do, but is there a Mermaid update coming soon? It seems like Sims 4 is now having an issue with Mermaid tails disappearing, along with all the previous werewolf issues. NOT blaming your mod, just wondering if theirs an update underway with all these occult changes.

I’m currently looking into the mermaid tails disappearing. I actually just noticed that bug a couple days ago, so I’m pretty sure it was introduced in a recent update and it has to do with buffs that apply any CAS parts to the sim. However, I have also noticed a bug that causes mermaids to sometimes lose their tails when entering CAS, unrelated to any aspect of the mod, so this could potentially be a game bug that cannot be fixed until the sims team patches it.

As for the werewolf issues, I’ve received various bug reports, but any testing I’ve done hasn’t shown that the mod is broken. Could you describe specifically what you’re experiencing?

Hey there,

I finally was able to start using the Sea-nery Stuff pack and I noticed that when I try to use the coral fan or the sand bed in a pool it doesn't let me interact with it. I tried to have my mermaid talk to the fish on one of the objects and the mermaid says they can't reach it. What's weird is I don't have this issue if I just drop it in the ocean in Sulani by a beach lol. They are able to talk to the fish without any issue. Do you know what could cause this weird issue where it's not working in pools but oceans are fine? Is there any way you could update this so it's only allowed underwater or in pools? Thanks for everything either way. I love mermaids have one as a tattoo was obsessed with little mermaid as a kid so I really enjoy your mods and the cc.

Hi there! This is probably due to the pool floor being considered a different level than the one swimming sims are on, while oceans are just sculpted terrain. This makes it impossible for them to interact with the objects in a pool unless all constraints are removed. Something you could try, (though I’ve never tested, so take it with a grain of salt), is using the T.O.O.L mod to place the object on the same level and lower it into the pool. That way, it should still be considered on the same level and sims should be able to reach it.

Hi, how are you? i hope you're doing well. *sigh*, we have an big issue, it looks like Fairies and witches isn't working well with the new life and death ep or how death works, because when my witch kill someone using killer magic, it makes the game to not make you leave to lot or enter build mode, like it keep saying ( can't enter build mode when a sims is dying) even when my witch killed them with killer magic, so than idk what to do. i have to keep rerolling the same to not get this forever ( can't enter build mode when a sims dying). i hope you see this because this might be consider broken? and i really want to use killer magic.

Yeah, they changed and added a lot to the death interactions in the L&D pack, but that should have been fixed in the last mod update. 🤔 Is it the Exitus spell you’re having trouble with?
