Her dark eyes widened a fraction before her gaze traveled toward the bag of candy he held before her. While the concept of Halloween was clear to her, it had been a long time since she had even thought about celebrating it. The life of a soldier left little free time, after all. However, Mikasa gave a thick swallow as realization settled upon the fact that she had no candy to give. “E-Eren I…” she trailed off and averted his gaze.
A dark blush adorned her cheeks as she pulled at a few locks of her own hair out of embarrassment. “I-I don’t have…” Mikasa bit at her bottom lip nervously as she leaned forward. Her face burned as she drifted the lids of her eyes closed. Silence hung between them as she closed the gap, pressing her lips to his in a slow, chaste kiss.
