I'll pray for Charlie Kirk as much as he prayed for the children getting shot in American schools.

setting: after daemon targaryen's assassination attempt and the death of danelle tully / location is utp
the death of lady danelle tully as well as the attempt on prince daemon targaryen’s life stunned the knight. surely this cannot be the work of the ashen promise? If it is, why would they target a prince who from jasper’s knowledge is innocent? this cannot be so, he sworn to them because he believed that they cared for the innocent.with the assassin still lingering around in the shadows–whilst himself and the other nobles left in the dark unable to leave, jasper felt like a rat stuck in a maze with a cat at the end waiting to slaughter him. this killer must be found, no matter who they are. bruised and sore from the melee and jousting, the knight preferred to spend his time seated till the soreness ceases. the thought that the final round of the joust between davos baratheon and loras tyrell put a bad taste in his mouth. “to think… a woman has lost her life, a prince’s life threatened, we’re on lockdown… yet the tourney continues. to think that the crown would end the joust final to a later date and time till the murderer has been caught.”

The Vatican marks the 44th anniversary of the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, recalling the Rome shooting that stunned the world
Charlie Kirk warned against "assassination culture." I think the word he was looking for was revolution. Or revolte of the people. Or France, 1789.
I don’t care your political affiliation we have to STOP pew pew-ing people we disagree with

Ganyu's Role
Featuring: Ganyu Rating: Mature warnings: assassination, blood, political mismanagement. Summary: The adepti are tasked to protect Liyue, and they do, in their many different ways. But how does Ganyu play her part? General fic, no shipping.

Ganyu fidgeted over the paper work on her desk. A new Tianquan had just been appointed over Liyue Harbor, the previous having died in his sleep. Or so she was told, anyway. The elections for the new Tianquan had happened quickly, more quickly than Ganyu remembered them happening before. And while there was nothing wrong with things going smoothly and quickly, something just felt... off.
Humans are Space Cockroaches
Original post by @hello-apes-of-the-world
Ok so what if instead of humans are space orcs we’re just space cockroaches with a weird knack to survive anything and to be able to live in
This post contains mentions of:
Death, assassination, cursewords
Read at your own risk
------
When humans joined the thousands of other species among the stars, they expected to be something admirably special.
The fastest, strongest, smartest, largest, smallest, dumbest, weakest, slowest, the first, the last, SOMETHING
They were not. There were always tons of species faster, stronger, smarter, larger, smaller, dumber, weaker, slower, before or after them.
What they did not really expect was being annoying little cockroach fucks that were mostly just a nuisance that could just not really be killed.
Acids? Not if you want to keep your house intact.
Poisons? Rarely, if not correctly dosed, even poisons that were confirmed lethal could be survived.
Heat? They probably will outlast most common building materials or furniture.
Fire? Yes, but they can survive shorter, weak blasts. And fire will most likely ruin your furniture / the environment.
Cold? Not really if they have the chance to get their hands on anything remotely insulating.
Ice? Yes, but only if done correctly. Which is hard. Furthermore a very costly method.
Smoke? Not really, it may keep them away, but it is hard to kill most humans with Smoke alone.
Water? Again, hard to execute correctly, since they will have to be fully submerged with no air left in the room.
Chemical deterrents? Not many commercially available.
Force? Not necessarily.
That did make them good for some things.
They were often used as a slightly cheaper, yet still versatile options, when a job requires specialty, but also a bit of knowledge of different fields. Perhaps the Employer was on a bit of a budget.
Yes, humans. So average, but if you leave them unattended for too long, we will fuck something up, for better or worse.
