The first of the Lavellan Week prizes, this one for assbelas, feat. her Josun Lavellan and Blackwall. Hope you enjoy it! <3
Josun Lavellan waited near the gates of Skyhold, just as Blackwall had told her to; she wore the simple yet visually stunning and revealing clothes that the people of Skyhold were quite familiar with; she knew how much Blackwall liked the way she looked in them. The sun was setting and the stars were beginning to come out.
“Good evening, milady!” The gruff voice called; she turned and saw Blackwall ride out of the stable on a white stallion and gallop towards her.
“Ah, hello, Blackwall,” Josun replied with a slight smile as he came to a halt next to her. “Where are we going?” She climbed up on the horse behind him.
“That would be a surprise, Lady Josun. But I hope you love it,” Blackwall replied, a hint of tension in his voice. With that, they wrote out of the gates and began travelling to their destination.
After nearly a quarter of an hour, they arrived at their destination: a mountaintop picnic by candlelight under the stars. Josun nodded approvingly when she saw the setup: a picnic basket on a blanket, complete with a couple of glasses and a bottle of fine wine, all surrounded by dozens of candles.
“Very nice,” Josun noted. Blackwall hopped down off of the horse and helped her down before he proceeded to tie the horse up to a nearby tree. The moon shone brightly as they sat down to eat, Blackwall pouring a glass of wine for each of them. They had barely begun to eat when strange music filled the air.
“What is that sound?” Josun replied, somewhat confused.
As if on cue, ZITHER! stepped out from the nearby brush, strumming away. “Everybody ready to make some music?” he cried.
Seeing the confused look linger on Josun’s face, Blackwall explained, “Lady Josephine did me a favor…”
Blackwall watched Josun intently, hoping to see what her reaction would be. But she just watched the mage musician, not saying anything or betraying any thoughts. As he finished his song, ZITHER! bowed and made his exit.
“What a fool…” Josun mumbled with a short little giggle, taking another sip of wine.
“I… I wrote you a poem, milady…” Blackwall stammered. Josun just stared at him, her beautiful eyes seeming to pierce his soul. This is a disaster… he thought to himself, hanging his head in perceived shame.
“What’s wrong?” Josun asked, a note of concern in her voice.
“I just wanted to have a perfect, romantic evening with you, and I completely mucked it up… I apologize, milady…” Blackwall answered, not even daring to look at the elven woman. It was then that he felt her hand on his chin, raising his head up. They locked eyes with each other.
“This evening has been perfect because I’ve been spending time with you, my love…” Josun explained. She leaned forward the rest of the way and kissed him deeply and passionately.
When they separated, the man was blushing. “Well…” he sighed with a hearty chuckle, “who am I to argue with that?”

We’re making progress, slowly but surely! And I’ll hopefully be able to knock some more of these out before the Adaar Week prizes get added! The majority of this list hasn’t gotten me prompts yet, but no rush! Just get me your prompts as soon as you can! Once this list is at a more manageable level, I’m strongly considering adding a writing event to my blog, so that’s secondary motivation to just making sure I get you all writing that you enjoy! <3
