the image of 2 elves just wading through disgusting swamp water wearing skimpy mage “armor” is so funny to me sfkhsd aww poor Dyn. I can kinda see most ppl’s first reaction to Kalla is nice because he smiles a lot and it makes him seem approachable and friendly but then he just. keeps on smiling. at things that aren’t Good, Funny, or Pleasant At All

For Headcanon! :D Ancient elves/Dalish

Like any young city elf, Colt had a real fascination with the Dalish and his peoples history. He liked learning whatever elvish words he could, and used them as often as he could as a kid. He would play the mighty Dalish hunter and pretend to stalk others, would climb the Vhenadahl and pretend it was an entire forest that he was free in.

He put away such games when the reality of being a city elf began to sink in. But he never really got rid of his fascination with them.

In fact, the Dalish and tales of their facial tattoos (he didn’t know what they were called until the whole disaster with the werewolf curse) were his inspiration for his own tattoos. Not the design of course, he couldn’t have known what they looked like. Rather once he decided that being a good elf was rubbish, he wanted to show everyone his dedication to being a nuisance.

He wanted to let everyone know that he was just as wild as his mother, in a way that he could never take back. The hard part was finding someone to tattoo a teenager, you’d think there was a market for that.

I don’t mind the Chantry itself. I mean, I don’t believe in what they preach, but I can’t really go slagging them off to validate my own religious beliefs now can I? Not that I don’t find some things...questionable. 

There’s also all the shit the Chantry has inspired, but that’s an argument I don’t feel qualified to enter to be honest. I’m staying away from that shit!
