"Please don't be angry," Cas said. You saw the tiniest flinch of emotion around his eyebrows, a flash of the true distress he felt at the entire situation.
"Don't be angry?! You kidnapped me!" you roared back.
He gulped nervously. He never wanted to make you upset and being on the receiving end of your anger felt particularly awful. "This is for your own safety. And—I was nice about it. As nice as I could be given the current circumstances."
You stared back at him, the color high in your cheeks. "You were nice about it?" you repeated.
Cas hesitated, but nodded. "Yes. Dean joked about just locking you in a closet. I transported you here instead. I know you've always wanted to visit this area. A cabin in the mountains seemed like a much better option than—"
"—than locking me in a closet," you interrupted, crossing your arms. "Yeah, I'll deal with Dean on that one later," you said, throwing yourself down onto the couch in a slumped seated posture, pouting.
Cas winced at the look on your face. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that it has to be like this to keep you safe."
You couldn't help it. You softened, just a little. "So, are you staying here to babysit me or what's the deal?"
Cas nodded. "Yes. Otherwise we both know you'd be trying to find a way back..." But he said it with something that sounded a little like admiration. "You're—very determined. It's one of the things I like most about you." He realized what he'd said and you swore that the angel's cheeks blushed.
You smiled. You couldn't help it. "Maybe if you tell me more about what you like about me, I won't be so mad at you, Cas," you joked. He picked up on your teasing tone and relaxed some.
"It would be easy. There are so many things I like about you, Y/N." Prompt: "You kidnapped me!" / "Yes, but I was nice about it."
