This goes under a cut for reasons of possibly upsetting Oasis fans, don't read if easily triggered.

In all honesty, if Liam or Noel ever had any sort of sexual encounter that might qualifiy as not entirely consensual during their first run (and Liam seems to have been right at the edge of it sometimes with his sense of entitlement fostered by drugs and egomania), I wouldn't be surprised if this surfaced now in the wake of the allegiations against Paul. Any groupie that feels mistreated, any former girlfriend with a grudge, this is the point where the newspapers would offer real money for it in order to be able to throw something at N&L that might stick.

The next problem I see is that there might be some sort of reaction from either of them (more likely Liam) taking Paul's side in public. Liam is only controllable to a degree.

And if they don't react, that's also going to be seen as a statment.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I'm trying to see this as an impartial observer. Alas I am not.

I watched The Pitt, even though medical dramas aren't my thing, and it was really good! Much to think about. My favorite characters are Samira Mohan and Trinity Santos. I love how Mohan trusts her instincts and sticks to her approach even when her mentor (somewhat unfairly) berates her for it. I love that she has no hobbies and no friends and no relationships outside of work. And Santos! Something sooooo good about how she does not expect the men around her to be safe, she doesn't expect facades to match actions, and because of that she's probably the only one who could have noticed what Langdon was doing. The scene where she takes the blame for not consulting Langdon when she should be getting credit for a great save?? She is doing threat assessments on her male colleagues, she is assuming that they will treat her (and Mohan!) unfairly, and she's shielding Mohan from it because she can take it. And she's correct! It's not a crazy thing to do! God she's so interesting. And I'm glad Langdon will be back in season 2—I'd like to see him humbled and willing to acknowledge that Santos may have saved his life. I think they could have a really interesting relationship if they learn to see themselves in each other

it's way too late and i have to get up in 6 hours for my political seminar. i've been smoking a lot the past few days. it's strange i feel so at peace arround these people and i hardly get the time to think about myself and my place in this world which has been what kept me awake the last few months. i wish i could live this life forever and i kind of dread returning to my daily political work at the end of the week. i realized today that i've gotten good at comforting people and talking their own worries through with them in a way i never thought i would. my piercing got infected again just as other parts of me are beginning to heal.

DeadLocks great so far really fun gameplay with great art.

Limbus company's game play is enjoyable and I don't get the hate for it I enjoy the more simplified combat

Lob Corp is (In my opinion) more enjoyable than runia in terms of gameplay I can understand preferring runia but god I love lob Corp

Arknights is pretty cool

What would be a good twitch name for me like I want to stream but I also want a good name to do so with you know

I really enjoy all Mili songs very controversial take but they just feel so other worldly you know

Is it normal to sometimes just feel like your being an ass or annoying

DnD fun but cause I forgot to read how wizards worked I just learned about learning spells form other wizards spellbooks and scrolls

Thinking about that one time I went off about Curly Mouthwashing (and a lot of the game’s messaging, and depth with character morals/thought-processing) and someone asked if I did video essays, and sometimes I think about it.

The day I become confident enough in my voice and editing skills, maybe, just maybe, I’ll make an entire video that’s just infodumping about Mouthwashing and why I’m totally correct about my opinions and all of my thoughts about Curly in particular, since reception on him in particular has got folks split.

I love this game right now, I’m sorry.

More Reading Thoughts: The Epilogue, Version One

The long-awaited sequel!! I’m reading the Epilogue as it appears in “The End of the Third Age”, from The History of The Lord of the Rings as compiled by Christopher Tolkien.

Manuscript A

It’s interesting that “well, I’m back” wasn’t originally supposed to be the end of the story. It’s become something iconic now—the perfect, hauntingly understated ending, harkening back to “there and back again”—but the only reason it seems so abrupt is because Tolkien actually meant to write on.

I like both, honestly. This Epilogue has so much good stuff in it, but it would make an already slow book even slower; “well I’m back” is lovely for what it is. ^-^

“Elanor 15, Frodo 13, Rose 11, Merry 9, Pippin 7.” Just looking at their names and the list of ages gets me in the heart. Argh, I love these kids ;u;

Confirmed that Merry and Pippin traveled to Gondor and Rohan multiple times in their lives! That’s wonderful!

And now: the Gamgee children being carbon copies of their namesakes begins.

Merry Jr. is inordinately proud of Merry Sr. and wants to grow tall like him.

Pippin Jr. is likewise inordinately proud of Pippin Sr. and insists that Merry isn’t the tallest anyway.

“Is he Prince Peregrin away down in the Stone City, dad?” Oh my word.

First of all: the fact that this little hobbit lad knows Minas Tirith familiarly enough to call it the Stone City.

Secondly: I mean they did call him a prince of the halflings at first—

Frodo Jr. wants to hear about the spider again because he likes the parts where his dad comes in ;u;

And Elanor wants to know about the flower she’s named after!

Elanor: I want to go see my flower! Sam: There’s a prettier one if you look in a mirror. Elanor: Daaaad…

Rose Jr. is worried about the elves going away TT-TT

Sam is secretly very proud of the Mallorn tree in the Party Field LOL

Legolas lives in Ithilien! And Pippin says they’ve made it very lovely, which means he’s seen it! WHICH MEANS PIPPIN GOT TO HANG OUT WITH LEGOLAS AND FARAMIR AND BEREGOND AND BERGIL AGAIN—

Frodo Jr. loves Gimli and wants an axe LOL

Gimli and his dwarves helped to rebuild Minas Tirith! And now they live in the mountains behind it!! And he goes to visit the Glittering Caves every two years! Tolkien thought of EVERYTHING

And nobody knows if anyone’s seen Treebeard lol

Haha Sam shuts down the “its not fair”s so fast, he’s such a dad 🤣

And now Tolkien gives elvish names to all Sam’s kids. Nerd.

“‘Samwise or Halfwise who should rather be called Plainwise.’ So now you know what the King thinks of your dad you’ll maybe give more heed to what he says.” LOL SAM COULD YOU GET ANY MORE DADLY

All Frodo Jr. takes away from this is “MUST INTERROGATE FATHER”

And they’re gonna stay with the King and Queen at the house on the Lake for a few weeks!! HOW EXCITING

Tbh I like the first version of Sam’s conversation with Rosie better. (The one marked with footnote #6, if you have the book.) It gives more character to Rosie, which is in short supply; and I like the idea of her almost prophetically starting to sing on the day Sam is about to return. Something very Elvish and Tolkien about that.

And Sam tells us he is all whole and healed so as to preemptively shut down the angst writers. (But we will survive muahaha >:-D)

Manuscripts B and C

WAIT—in one version of Appendix A Gimli became LORD OF THE GLITTERING CAVES?? HELLO??

EDIT: I have been informed that Gimli being Lord of the Glittering Caves did, in fact, make it into the final version of the book, and I just didn’t pay enough attention LOL
