i wanna write a comic where two guys are roommates, and guy A is convinced guy B is a girl bc of small things despite it being obvious hes not and is using it to justify his crush on him. would that be sort of transphobic? im nonbinary but im not looking to offend

If your audience is aware that you’re a nonbinary writer, then I think most of what you do should land okay. I’d suggest analyzing the reasons guy A believes this and why. If those reasons are founded in cissexism or otherwise not respecting another person’s right to self-identify, that should be challenged and have some kind of character growth past that, assuming guy A is not a villain kind of thing.

I have a confession

2 weeks ago I assumed a strangers gender which led to misgendering them. I noticed they were uncomfortable when I said it so the week after I talked to them and apologized. I then asked their preferred pronounces. I have learnt my lesson and made it right. Not to toot my own horn but that is how you deal with your mistakes people, its 2017
