Something to this day that bothers me is wilds era never leans into any of the cult ideas it sets up.

Like the yiga are a demon king worshipping cult but it's more played for laughs and "Man these guys don't know what they're doing most of the time huh?" Astor is a literal prophet of doom like sir, why is all your cult members dead?

It's even worse when you have a mind manipulating substance like malice/gloom and the notes being like "Oh hey there used to be a full-on cult that worshipped ganon"
