Darkness demons have a history that is both fascinating and cruel. I’ve mentioned in another post that they tend to pick their mates with the thought of how their future heirs will grow and what attributes they will acquire that would be considered useful.  This is typically a trait found amongst the nobility. The ultimate desire being having a child born who would be close to physical perfection.

Most of the common Darkness Demons will have adapted mostly to the whatever their regions require of them. Those near the coast might have more aquatic features such as gills and fins to help them survive the waters and the dangers that lurk within them etc.

The only ones that are not noble but still are allowed to actively keep trying to adapt their children are the knighthoods and those directly sponsored by the nobility. The Knighthoods are a stand alone military force that works directly under the Emperor, but otherwise has no other nobility standing over them. As the nobility often stands as their own domain’s standing forces for defense and control over their domains the Knighthoods act as a roaming police and occasionally a back-up for weaker, but affluent nobility. Such as orphaned children forced to take up the mantel of their dead parents or those who focus more on intellectual pursuits rather than the martial ones.

Unfortunately for those unable to afford the costs of the Knighthood, or have good enough relations with other nobles who would be willing to offer support the idea is that those who are not fit to rule will die and a new family line will be installed to pick up the slack should the previous one be killed off entirely or deemed no longer worthy.

The reason why their is such a strictness in terms of fighting prowess that is demanded of the Nobility comes from the innate nature of darkness demons as a whole. Their powers, especially their magical abilities fluctuate Wildly with their emotions. This applies to the whole species so the nobility must have the strength in one way or another to keep control over the masses who, at any point have some kind of breakdown emotionally, will be temporarily transformed by their rampant and unchecked magic forcibly adapting their form to suit whatever their desire is at the time. this is another reason why their is an outside force beyond the nobility that is allowed to have a similar strength, because they must be able to subdue the nobility should they be the ones to suffer a breakdown and go wild.

Nobles must have the strength to subdue those individuals and if it gets to a point where they cannot then they would either be deemed unworthy or must be given sufficient time to train to a point where they can do it. Usually the only people who are allowed to take time to train are those who were forced to pick up the mantel before they were ready.

Astral Ask: Mind space.

I can say i used to. personally i called it my astral home/palace (cause the place was basically a castle), because other beings could enter and lived there with my permission and trust. They helped to protect it and each had their own room that they lived in.It was usually my point of origin and return whenever i decided to go astral adventuring. Since the time when i lost mostly everything in the astral i haven’t made another. 

Instead i kinda create temporary places of rest when i need them. A small pocket dimension that’s honestly not much bigger than a room with nothing but a wall of hedges surrounding it. Not a single piece of furniture. if i want to train i can without worrying about breaking something. I just make sure to completely lock down the area before i go about it. Don’t want someone popping in while i’m training and accidentally get hurt. It’s also a place i use for reflection. when i just need to be alone and think about stuff i slip away from everything and just think.

I haven’t made another astral home for personal reasons. When i feel ready for it i’ll make it again. Until then i’m without an astral home or mind space beyond a temporary one. 

The only other mind space i can think of is submerging myself in darkness and just floating within it’s mass. almost like being in an ocean, but the ability to breathe and dryness of it is comforting. For me there is a gentleness to it. It recognizes me, realizes i’m seeking refuge and peace, and caters to those desires. it lets me peacefully drift along until either i need to leave or i am called away. However that isn’t particularly a mind space since the area isn’t mine to claim. I’m just taking advantage of being close the big cuddly infinite power that could easily crush me by accident. it doesn’t change the fact that there are horrors and dangers that lurk inside those depths.

Magic Ask: Astral Travel

Hmm. i don't really know how to give pointers about how i easily move between the astral and human lives i have. For me it's more like they intertwine. It's not about moving from one to the other, Both exist within me at any given point. I'm just transferring my attention, sometimes it just happens. After a long time of keeping them separate they just kinda began to bleed into each other. Now it's just part of my everyday life. So if anything i guess all i can say is just continue trying to incorporate the astral into your life and eventually it'll just seep into you. 

As for your deal with darkness and trying to sell your heart. You really don't understand everything i've tried telling you from before this message. The entire purpose of Darkness Magic seems to have completely gone over your head (even though i've tried explaining it several times) because you seem to think it's a get power quick scheme where you can sell parts of yourself for power. It doesn't work that way. 

The whole purpose of Darkness Magic is not to get rid of parts of yourself, but rather find the parts you Want to remove, learn about them, understand them how they came into being, and Accept them back into yourself. You say you have something to sell. Go find some demon or other entity to bargain with. Darkness doesn't do deals.

Astral ask: Deal Making tips.

As for finding demons, i would assume you would know some seeing how you work the forces of evil. If not then all i can suggest is looking for them. Call out to them. Once you've found one that you feel that you can trust, as far as anyone can trust anyone else i suppose, you talk about the terms of the deal. It's just like any other contract humans could form. person a offers what person b wants, in exchange person b gives person a what they want if they find the terms agreeable. That's the whole thing about it. deals can only be made willingly.

Most people would obviously suggest that you take some safety precautions when making deals, using a spell to kind of trap the demon to a specific area so they don't have free roam in whatever area you decide to summon them in. If you are type who wants to let them have that freedom, then at least know how to make barriers for yourself and banishment spells as well to rid yourself of the demon, if they are more interested in taking what they want rather than making a deal.

Anything to watch out for? Manipulation, aggravation, seduction, marketing scams, testing the power out, demons that know you well enough to tell you some of your history (though that can also be a good thing depending on how they use this knowledge), enslavement, and for the love of everything watch your fucking words and how they can be interpreted. demons will take your desire for more power and make you sign away something important and give you as much power as needed to flip a thimble because all you asked for was power and not how much.

as for the power you can gain, or how it would manifest. I have no idea. That's part of the deal that you have to figure out along with what the demon can do. Also remember to be courteous and expect that sometimes demons will want nothing to do with you. Sometimes they just don't care or want to deal with humans and will leave as soon as they can.

Astral Ask: Avian Spirits

Honestly I have to sadly admit that i don't really know many avian spirits. In fact i don't think i know of any avian spirits. x.x I am sorry for not being able to really answer your questions. i haven't had any contact with any sentient avian spirits to date, but i'll try to answer you when i know more.

Astral ask: Deals with Spirits

Well there are a few things that i want to say before i go about answering these questions, i must say that i don't think that this is a good idea and i don't suggest that anyone do it, but If you do then know that you do it at your own risk.

Now to the actual questions. find a spirit, whether it was in a books of spirits/demons or what have you and hash out terms and conditions. 

As for the the types of spirits, that's your personal preference and decisions.

As for how to contact them, use your medium of choice. Some people use tarot cards, pendulums, Ouija boards, and some people just have mental chats with them. There are as many ways as you can probably think of, just find one you like and allows the clearest amount of conversation.

That's pretty much it. I'm not going into specifics because is something based on preference and your own particular lore and mythos/religion you follow.
