This great serpent that is the life force / the animating principle, has been called by many names, firstly because it is not an objective empirical thing that can be pointed at, captured, put in a cage to be measured by any physical instrument. This cosmic serpent eludes human sensibility & rationality.
We can know something about it, because we perceive its effects on the physical world, therefore we infer its existence.
Secondly, we know the reality of the life force as intimately close to ourselves, it is our most direct tacit experience. Tacit in the sense that we grasp for words when we must describe it & circumscribe it in formal language.
Yet we know it as the substance we are, it quivers & vibrates as the very dissipative heat that is our aliveness.
It is the great river that ever flows from heaven to earth / from the macrocosm to the microcosm / becoming particular for a period, it is then finally released & evaporates (leaves the physical vehicle) to once again join with its universal home in the eternal / great serpentine cycle, that is 𝘓𝘐𝘍𝘌.
The dragon 🐉 breathes fire 🔥.
It is 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘍𝘖𝘙𝘊𝘌 & 𝘚𝘜𝘉𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘊𝘌 of creation / & through human hands & thoughts / it expresses as culture through creativity.
To make something exist / become / be— requires work & channeling of life force energy, physically, metaphysically, alchemically or magically.
Creativity can be constructive or destructive, the cosmic serpent devours itself to rebirth, Shakti creates with her right foot & destroys with her left in the cosmic dance / sway of the serpent.
We can harness the energy & build rockets & wealth or we can exchange it communally, kiss the forehead of a child / tend the lands.
This most subtle energy is taken from nature, her resources, her peoples & the animals & channeled towards creative, but destructive ends.

Wise Thoughts
“ALL things are one. This applies to thoughts also, for thoughts are things and have substance, weak or strong, according to the strength or weakness of the thinker’s will and imagination. The Astral Light in which we dwell preserves, as upon a photographic plate, all the thoughts that man has ever thought, and those whose minds sincerely seek the truth of all things, will contact the thoughts of other thinkers, and so obtain the knowledge they are qualified to receive. …
Like unseen seeds from Heaven, do the wise thoughts of good men and women descend from the higher realms to earth, entering the minds of those attuned to their Divine harmonies, to blossom in kindly deeds and noble aspirations, whether in this life, or lives to come. Such, my dear Friends is the power of thought, which may bless or curse, depending upon the wisdom or ignorance of the thinker and the intention behind the thought. Always remember this when the tongues of the foolish offend you and tempt you to send forth like for like, so adding to the ocean of wrong thinking which infects the minds of men, instead of dispelling it. … Have charity for those who do not know the taste of genuine things, having fed all their lives on fantasy and drunk from the muddied waters of forgetfulness, ever seeking, never finding, because they do not know where or how to look for Truth. Stretch forth a helping hand to them, for in this way you liberate both them and yourselves from the bonds of ignorance.”

Something I have noticed in myself and a lot of other magicians is that many of us got into magic as a result of being fascinated by the images of magicians, witches, and wizards in fantasy stories as well as the original fantasy stories- myths and legends.
I believe being interested in fantasy is not only a gateway into magical practice, but also a necessary trait. The ability to suspend one's belief and utilising imagination are key features in Magick in my opinion. We start off admiring the imagination of others, but eventually many of begin practicing the skill of imagination- creative visualisation- and forming worlds, characters, and beings of our own.
For me as a child my fascination began with Merlin and King Arthur, I was absolutely obsessed with the Arthurian legends as a child. I watched every film I could find concerning Merlin- which in the 90s was quite a few! After this of course came Harry Potter, I was hooked. I read the books, I watched the films, I could probably sit and recite lines even now. My favourite film as a very young child was The Wizard of Oz, not because of Dorothy, but because of the witch! I even once dressed as the wicked witch for halloween, much to my father's disapproval!
Then you have those who like to play roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons etc. I've always wanted to try playing such games but could never find anyone willing to. However, the amount of imagination and suspension of belief involved in these things is brilliant. It seems to be a very good tool of training and utilising the imagination and I know a lot of occult teachers grew up playing such games. I believe they are successful in their magic due to the early nurturing of these tools.
For me I loved writing stories about the supernatural in general: magic, vampires, ghosts etc. I would often play games involving magic, and on many occasions, when there were no kids about to play with I could be found in the garden communicating with the leprechauns. Don't ask me what we spoke about or why I believed leprechauns were living in my garden in England. But 5 year old me firmly believed it!
Now, this is not to say when you commune with spirits it is all imaginary in the sense that it is fake. This is not the case, but it is through the imagination faculty that communication occurs in my opinion. What I mean by this is that the spirits and the magician can utilise the matrix of the imagination to form impressions to each other and thus use the creative faculties of the mind to communicate with each other. This is what happens when a magician accesses and utilises the so-called 'astral plane'. It is the astral light of Eliphas Levi. It is the creative faculty of the mind.
Spirits are discarnate beings, we need to give them form or they need to give themselves form. I believe it is a mutual endeavour. We give them form in our minds eye and they take references, words, and aspects from our minds to give themselves shape also. I believe when we stare into scrying devices all we are doing is distracting our conscious minds and allowing the imagination to run wild. To daydream, to be lost in reverie.
Stories are important. Myths and Legends are important. The bible is important. Why? Because they have shaped humanity, they have shaped us as individuals in society, and their imagery is imprinted upon us. The spirits speak through these archetypal images. But I personally believe new stories are also important. New tales of magic, drawing upon key archetypal images, are also of importance. Fantasy as a genre is important, and as a side note, science fiction too!
The next time you play D & D, watch movie, read a book. Allow yourself to get lost. Allow yourself to imagine yourself as the main character. Allow yourself to be lost in the story. Allow your mind to run wild. Do the same the next time you are scrying, do not try to control what happens. Don't disregard anything. Simply be receptive to the imagination. Allow it complete freedom. Your magic will thank you.
“The Great Magical Agent, by us termed the Astral Light, …this occult, unique and indubitable force, is the key of all empire, the secret of all power. … To know how to make use of this Agent is to be the trustee of God’s own power; all real, effective Magic, all occult force is there, and its demonstration is the sole end of all genuine books of science. To have control over the Great Magical Agent there are two operations necessary–to concentrate and project, or, in other words, to fix and to move.”
“The Pentagram signifies the domination of the mind over the elements, and the demons of air, the spirits of fire, the phantoms of water and the ghosts of earth are enchained by this sign. Equipped therewith, and suitably disposed, you may behold the infinite through the medium of that faculty which is like the soul’s eye, and you will be ministered unto by legions of angels and hosts of fiends.”
“...this faceless God behind this formless form, this image which resembles no created being. Baphomet is not a God; He is the sign of initiation.”
In this post I am going to focus on a skill that I feel is supremely useful in magic, a skill that once acquired allows you to first see the astral light, and being able to see it eventually master it through the practice of magic.
This quote from Levi in particular:
“ Equipped therewith, and suitably disposed, you may behold the infinite through the medium of that faculty which is like the soul’s eye”
Baphomet represents the astral light and how it is within all things. The pentagram over it’s third eye represents not only the power to “behold” it but to master it.
So, how does one behold the astral light? Well, it is kinda easy actually. So easy it usually gets looked over in occultism and delegated into the woo category.
First one takes a soft focus on the eyes, notice many people report seeing spirits or odd phenomenon out of the corners of their eyes. That is a “hint” to the technique. You have to learn how to look at the world with your peripheral vision or through a soft focus on the entire visual scene. You have to relax and observe the flow.
“Do not look at your opponent’s sword, or you will be slain by his sword. Do not look into his eyes, or you will be drawn into his eyes. Do not look at him, or your spirit will be distracted.”
– Morihei Uyeshiba
Usually practicing in dim or very low level light works best at first. Before going to sleep at night if you can see your hand or arm, practice on looking past and through your hand as if you were trying to look at the ceiling or wall beyond it.
Keep the eyes relaxed!!!!!!!! The more strain and focus you have the harder it will be. You must de-focus the eyes.
The light you will see will probably be much, much dimmer than this, but this is a good example of what it looks like:
Keep practicing like this in the evening in bed or in dim lighting where you can.
Next go outside in the early morning or at night and practice. Relax the eyes and do not focus on one thing in particular, but on the whole scene. You may begin to see a very thin fog of light around objects, plants and people. If you zoom in to investigate the particular aura it will vanish.

A great technique for training the eyes in aura vision is by using those old 3-D magic eye hidden pictures. The way to hold your eyes to see the image is the way you need to hold your eyes when investigating auras more closely.
http://www.magiceye.com/faq_example.htm
Find ways to practice through out the day once you get better at seeing them in near darkness and dim light. Riding on public transport, sitting in meetings, in waiting lines, hanging out at home. Everything has an aura. The image of Baphomet shows that the astral light is within all things, because all things are made up of it.
I have found most people I show how to do this can at the very least spot the semi-transparent or transparent fog around people and objects within minutes. Some take more time, a couple of days of regular practice is usually enough to see them. If you have trouble it is probably because you are focusing too hard.
Be careful not to confuse after-images with the aura. If you are looking at something too long the color receptors get bleached and you will see the contrasting color of whatever you were looking at. They look very similar so be careful with that. If you can only see the thin white colored fog at first and all of a sudden a vivid color stays in your vision it is an after image. If you start seeing colors pop in and out, move like waves or sparks through the foggy medium then you are probably beginning to see the colors in an aura.
So, now what? Well to develop the skill and power take the next hint Levi and Baphomet gave. Close your eyes and look up between your eyebrows and forehead. If your eyes get tired let them drop but keep your awareness there and bring the eyes back when you can. Now imagine tracing a pentagram in the darkness of your mind. Start at the top point and go down toward the fire point. Trace this in your imagination until you can see it like you would if you were doing the lbrp. (You can/should experiment with other invoking/banishing pentagrams)
Once you can see that ghostly outline take a breath in and imagine or just *know* that pure, rarefied astral light is filling up your whole being, like in Bardon pore breathing but focused on the third eye alone. You can even imagine the light comes from the crown or the torch above Baphomet’s head. Just like in Bardon start with 7 breaths, then try your aura practice and once done, breathe it back out.
There is a chi kung practice where one lays down outside under a clear blue sky and draws the light of heaven into the eyes and fills them with that heavenly “chi”. In that practice you would draw in over 100 breaths in one sitting and then banish which is very similar to Bardon’s accumulation of light for clairvoyance! But the practitioner would have already acquired a great deal of mastery over the astral light by then. At the end of the practice the practitioner would then open their eyes and be able to see the spirits of heaven and the dragons of air (if they were lucky, the dragons may have been shy that day)
The imaginative student will come up with numerous exercises from the above pentagram practice, I am sure! As always let me caution you towards keeping a balance.
Now that you are able to see the astral light try some more magical experiments. Take two similar objects and place them before you. Verify their auras are similar or very closely so. make notes on size, shape and any colors that you may be able to perceive. if you have not yet acquired the ability to perceive any colors simply note size and shape. Take hold of one of the objects with both hands, close your eyes and begin meditation. Select some emotion or quality you can easily experience. Maybe you are happy, angry, in love, whatever. Focus on that feeling. Let that feeling fill your awareness to the best of your ability and then focus on the object in your hands. Imagine in whatever way feels proper to you all of the feeling is being pushed into that object. Focus awareness into your hands and imagine the object is saturated with that quality. Take your time, use your breath to guide it if that helps. Once you feel you are done place the object next to “the control” object and compare their auras again. Take notes on the meditation experience and any difference you notice. Leave the objects where they are and where they will not be disturbed by onlookers or the curious. Come back in 10 minutes and compare them taking notes. Keep checking on them at certain intervals to see when the one that was “charged” has dissipated and be sure to take note of the time that has elapsed.
Try the experiment again later this time adding a command to the energy you have loaded to last for X amount of time. Verify that the charge lasted for the designated time frame.
Try different emotions, notice any difference in color, shape and size.
Then once you have experimented fully in this way, select objects you use through out your day and investigate what the astral light reveals to you about those objects from the experiments you have done so far. Now observe objects from others, not in a “let me read your fortune” way but casually, as if admiring a piece of jewelry or heirloom for its own beauty.
If you practice ceremonial magic of any kind observe the auras of ritual tools, the circle, the triangle, etc.
“There exists in Nature a force which is immeasurably more powerful than steam, and a single man, who is able to adapt and direct it, might change thereby the face of the whole world. This force was known to the ancients; it consists in a Universal Agent having equilibrium for its supreme law, while its direction is concerned immediately with the Great Arcanum of Transcendental Magic. ...
This agent... is precisely that which the adepts of the Middle Ages denominated the 'First Matter of the Great Work'. The Gnostics represented it as the fiery body of the Holy Spirit; it was the object of adoration in the Secret Rites of the Sabbath and the Temple, under the hieroglyphic figure of Baphomet or the Androgyne of Mendes.”
'In this place let us affirm without evasion that the Great Magical Agent--the double current of light, the living and astral fire of the earth--was represented by the serpent with the head of an ox, goat or dog, in ancient theogenies.”
“It is the dual serpent of the caduceus, the old serpent of GENESIS, but it is also the brazen serpent of Moses, twined about the TAU, that is, the generating lingam. It is, moreover, the Goat of the Sabbath and the Baphomet of the Templars'.“
Please be aware, that there are people pretending to help spread the info (e.g. cloning centers info, Vril lizards info, etc.), that are Illuminati. Some of these people, are mixing truth with non-sense. They have pictures and/or videos, with Illuminati symbolism (e.g. one-eye, pyramid/triangle, satanic 666, etc.) as well. Check their social media accounts (especially, their Facebook page) and look at ALL of their pictures (and videos). Although I have used (and still use) some of these “Illuminati images” (like from Google), I assure you, that I have never “sold-out” and I am not an Illuminati member. In fact, I am getting “punished” for this, not rewarded. #Illuminati #NWO #NewWorldOrder #AstralLight #Astral7ight #HumanCloning #CloningCenters #ConsciousnessTransfer #REMConsciousnessTransfer #REMSleep #REM #Clones #Cloning #Vril #VrilLizards #ParasitedHosts #HostsOfVril #Hosts #Drones #Chipheads #DeadChipheads #Soulstone #SoulstoneMicrochip #DUMBs #DeepUndergroundMilitaryBases #Truthers #IlluminatiSymbolism #Killuminati
Affirmation I shall be rays of light, putting to flight the gloom that lurks in recesses of human thought. Through Thy grace the sudden shafts of wisdom will dispel error accumulations of countless centuries. Your Spiritual Eye Sees the True Nature of All Things If the power of your eyes were increased, you would see all kinds of different lights. Your physical eyes show you only a very limited scope of light, but your spiritual (astral) eye sees the true nature of all things as images composed of God's creative light. Your whole body, which you perceive as solid flesh, is nothing but electromagnetic waves. Ordinarily, when you close your eyes, you see only darkness; but with spiritual development, you will see wondrous lights. The Bible says: "The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." These are fundamental truths that you do not perceive because your senses are all tuned only to a limited range of certain gross vibrations. -Paramahansa Yogananda, Journey to Self-Realization, p 109; Affirmation, Whispers from Eternity, p 20.
