PERHAPS SOME LAW OF COSMIC BALANCE DEMANDED PAYMENT and penance for the crimes he’d committed for the sake of staying alive.  Like an otherworldly magistrate … a CORELLIAN GODDESS or an emergency charm against what could’ve been a reckless means to an end.  Except, Han didn’t believe in all that kest — never had and never would.  Even if such thoughts were what always sprung to mind when the odds stacked against him.        Points like these were PARADOXICAL.         . . . // @astrayframe

The thought of turning to faith for a second chance ticked him off.                     This time wasn’t any different.

There was a slight delay in Solo’s movement, stretched into a fraction of a second.  Easy to miss how he’d dropped his guard—something Han struggled to do even if he tried.  An average life-form would’ve overlooked the minute falter, but what approached him was NOWHERE near the ‘average’ life-form.  Han rolled his eyes and holstered his blaster, nonplussed now.  He knew what he was dealing with but what in the godsdamned hells were the TENNO doing out HERE?  No doubt, this kid was far from home.  Wasn’t Teshin the one who’d told him the TENNO were clueless about his system’s location?

Han might never admit it, but when he’d said his goodbyes to Teshin, there had been the amorphous concept that when they would meet again, it’d be in the next life.

With the stench of rotting flesh, carried by the freeze, the smell of smog and grime was thick in the air, reminding him of his very patent and very urgent problem.  Perhaps, this TENNO could help ...  Han vacillated on the few options left, regarding how the threads of his own disquiet wrapped around his neck, ready to choke him blue.

 THE TECHNOCYTE VIRUS MOVED FAST. WITHOUT A CURE,             HAN WOULDN’T LIVE TO SEE THE END OF THE MONTH.

Punctuated by a quick flicker of hazel and the slight jerk of his head to the left, then right, Han addressed that anyone could witness this remarkable exchange.  The last thing he needed was for this WARFRAME to dominate galaxy-wide headlines.

“Nothing that happens is ever forgotten, even if you can’t remember it.”

Elijah was silent as he contemplated those words, crossing his arms while he thought. His Trinity’s face may have been unreadable–he didn’t trust this Tenno enough to be outside of his Warframe–but he was clearly deep in thought; head tilted downwards slightly, the previous crossing of his arms, and the sheer fact that he hadn’t yet said anything were indicators that he was thinking over everything rather thoroughly.

“….Yeah, it may not be forgotten by most of those who experienced it, but if you can’t remember it, what sort of worth does it even have? Everyone around you can tell you what happened, can influence you to view it the way they did, but what really does it matter, in the end?”

❝ Don’t go down this road…You know where it leads. ❞

Elijah sighed softly, his Trinity Prime slumping back against the wall as he crossed his arms. Yeah, he knew exactly where this road would lead–more death and destruction, although, only really for one person this time around. After all, he just wanted to stab that dickhead Ballas for what all he’d done, especially after he’d learned the truth about how Warframes were made and what Blue Balls did to Umbra. Was that too much to ask, to slice and dice that asshole to shreds? 

Ballas had to pay for his crimes, one way or another. 

“Yeah, I do, but here’s the thing: I don’t care. Sure, it might cause bad things for me, but I just don’t care at all. So long as he pays and my friends are safe, my lack of concern couldn’t be lower when it comes to what could happen to me for killing Ballas.”

‘ I want to destroy all the parts that aren’t working. ’

Wait, what? Destroy all the parts that aren’t working? 

Elijah couldn’t help the analytical, robotics-oriented part of his mind that was saying that if a part wasn’t working, to replace it or find out what going wrong and fix it. But he knew that this probably wasn’t the case at all, so he tilted his head in a bit of a confused way with his eyes scrunched up a little.

“What do you mean by that, exactly? As I don’t think what you were meaning to say got through.”

      The trickster froze, head tilting to the side in such a way that could be mistaken for surprise but was more a a way to assess the situation. How did this Tenno find him? He was pretty sure he hadn’t left a single trail - after all, he’d been invisible the whole way here. Then again, he really should know better not to underestimate the void children.

      Loki rose a figurative eyebrow, accented by another tilt of his head before he rose his hands slightly and shook his head from side to side. Best to play it safe and deceive this Tenno for now, he was here on business to find certain logs and he had what he needed. It was time to play innocent until he has the chance to run off or something, he doubts he could just pretend he was a Tenno at this point or, you know, go invisible and run off. He’d probably get caught very quickly.

      While incapable of speech, the Warframe was more than capable of communicating in other ways. He lowered his arms, keeping one hand slightly higher than the other and clicking on a few buttons on his arm. A Cephalon popped up, though it was clearly corrupted much like the Warframe itself, and began to speak for Loki.

      “HELLO, TENNO. I AM CEPHALON JAVA AND - T-T-THIS - THIS IS A LOKI WARFRAME, CODE-NAMED NOX. HE DOES NOT TRUST - HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, TENNO. AS HIS CEPHALON, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION TO - TELL YOU HE ABSOLUTELY DESPISES - SPEAK FOR HIM.”

      This Loki, Nox, motioned to the Cephalon after looking at the other, as if trying to tell the Tenno that the Cephalon was correct and that he would be doing the talking for him. Java turned to Nox for a moment, focusing on the Warframe intently before seemingly nodding and turning back.

      “WHAT IS IT YOU WISH TO KNOW, TENNO? HE HAS DECIDED TO - BE STUPID - OFFER YOU HIS TIME.”

And it’s a typo that, 99% of the time, is absolutely ridiculous.
