- In some interpretations (Mostly those derived from the Chaoskampf), Tiamat is considered akin to the Greek Chaos, being a representation of the “primordial chaos”, the supposed nothingness before creation (in modern terms, whatever came before the Big Bang)

- Little is actually known of the Titan Hyperion, mostly that he was the Titan of Light and father of Helios, Selene, and Eos. As a Titan, he is often portrayed as a villainous figure (or in the case of Borderlands, the namesake of a villainous corporation) in modern interpretation.

- Zagreus is one of the figures we know the least about in Classical Mythology. Mostly because he primarily features in Orphic traditions as a “First Dionysus”, however other interpretations have him as husband/consort to Gaia or the son of Hades.
