Kaira sighed. New school, new faces, same routine. While away the day until she could get to the gym and hope and pray they would let her try out. Volleyball was one of her few favorite sports and her last few schools had been a little too football focused to care.
"Hi, my name's Kaira Blackmore and I'd like to try-out for your volleyball team," she explained the well-meaning, but thoroughly distracted coach, "I know the season's is right on the edge of officially starting but I love volleyball and I..."
Kaira's words trailed off as she caught sight of the team passing by. Cute girls, all of them, especially the blonde whom she could only guess (and hope) was their captain. Pulling herself out of her reverie, the redhead focused on the coach again, pleading with her eyes.
"Alright," she said, albeit reluctantly, "Put on some greys and come practice. I'll let the girls decide if you get to play."
Without a moment to spare, Kaira was changed and out in the gym where the girls were warming up. She scanned the court for the blonde and beelined for her, catching a volleyball as it bounced alongside her, "H-hi! I'm Kaira and I'm... hoping to join your team this season."
