To act with empathy is actually 100% a choice and this is a great thing because it means people that don’t feel the emotions of others much can still learn to respond with kindness and respect to others. Likewise, people that soak up emotions outside them like a sponge aren’t necessarily choosing to use that input to act with empathy. Many in that predicament also have to reach a place in their journey where they decide to choose empathy for their actions.

This feels like a message from Saturn in Pisces 🪐 who’s been transiting my 1st house, and making his (or is it her?) messages especially abundant and symbolic during Pisces season. I think Saturn wants us all to know:

Get to building your empathy through your choices

Or

Start making choices that honor that you only have so much of yourself you can give to others

Jupiter revisits Gemini - May 25th, 2024 until June 10th, 2025!

See if you notice repeating themes from the last time(s) this happened [recent Jupiter dates at end, for those of us who journal].

Taurus Jupiter has had us appreciating what we already have, yet we also had the tendency to dig in our heels at the idea that we could change things for the better during stressful situations. Ruled by Ceres, Taurus takes on Ceres traits within whichever house She’s in: adaptation and survival of humanity, all familial relationships, nurturing professions, agriculture & animal care. Those with Taurus or Jupiter chart prominent will have experienced specific changes in any of those areas during Jupiter in Taurus periods.

This is a good opportunity to review these life themes:

Experiences of luck, vs lack; synchronicity vs. perceived failure.

Gemini placement(s) or an “empty” house; patterns related to thoughts which lead to communications, short term travel, siblings, neighborhood(s), early education, overall life mindset.

Where are we going?

Optimistic growth through goal-definition & attitude of gratitude, manifested through the proper actions…

…string of calamities or perceived calamities, wherein we have used our powers of communications and short term forms of travel such as seership abilities, to behave with lack of morality or indiscretion? Mercury, when not worked with consciously, has people building and maintaining energetic vampirism between groups of people, in tangled patterns of co-dependency.

The key is to examine the situation; is this dependency healthy, or toxic? Is it sustainable, or unsustainable? We must figure these things out, and practice clear communication with one another as we do so. Allow each person in a group dispute the time and consideration for full expression.

Important to remember: Geminis ruling planet is Mercury, and Mercury is known for good reason as the trickster & thief God. We can re-channel Geminis mental adventurousness in a properly productive direction, when we realize that we are actually thieving, or enabling thieving of our own life-forces, by staying in toss situations.

Are we tricking ourselves, and also being unfair to others in some way?

Can we find ways out of this destructive pattern, and into building new patterns, which can bring into our lives harmonic, and no longer dissonant expansion?

Those who don’t put in the time and effort on this, will expand in dissonance, while contracting their abilities to manifest harmonic luck.

Pisces Season - Feb. 19th to March 20th

Space hippie season ends, and in comes whimsical daydreamer season. We reach the end of the Astrological year through Pisces Season, and are encouraged to let go of the old, making way for the new.

Pisces is the sign which can be most deeply spiritual and intuitive, yet also deeply delusional if not careful about discernment. We are more susceptible to suffering from mind fog, and should take extra time to gain clarity about complex matters. This is a compassionate energy which is not so much intellectual and focused on the humanitarian as Aquarius Season was, but as a water (deeply emotional) sign, we’re more influenced by each persons inner landscape. Another common Piscean trait is lack of boundaries, as it’s the sign of service towards others. The Piscean instinct is self-sacrifice, but how can we be of service to others, if we aren’t first healthy within? Be altruistic, yet make certain we’re not allowing people to take advantage of our kind nature to the point where our own needs aren’t being met. Keeping boundaries up can allow us to focus the psychic energies of Pisces for maximum effectiveness, so that our instincts are sharp and not illusory.

Associated with the 12th House of endings and the esoteric, through Pisces Season we can find creative ways to heal from the past, and allow ourselves to flow into a new, healthier future.

Feb. 23rd, Mercury enters Pisces, bringing in a more imaginative way of thinking, and the desire to communicate more from our intuition, than we were focused on the logical when Mercury was in Aquarius.

March 10th, Mercury enters Aries. We can come on strong, and conflicts can escalate quickly, if we don’t curb our tongues. Listen closely, and be certain we’re really hearing what someone is saying, and not allowing ourselves to react too quickly. This is especially important during Pisces Season, while we are already dealing with the need to be careful that we’re not falling for illusions. Seek clarity, and pause to think and feel through the situation, before responding.

March 11th, Venus enters Pisces, bringing in an energy of deception within overly-idealized love. Are we seeing the person we love clearly, or are we perceiving them the way we wish they were? Watch out for avoidant behaviours. We should also be careful to not fall into illusions as concerns finances. Venus in this sign can be devoted to loved ones, and highly attracted to the poetic.

Following is information on the important aspects we will experience during Pisces Season.

We feel volatile, and are well advised to avoid impulsiveness. Work consciously and harmoniously, injecting friendliness as levity into intense situations. [Venus in Aquarius conjunct Mars in Capricorn until March 4th (exact on Feb. 22nd)].

We have intellectual precision for the details (not so much for outlining general plans), but also the desire to focus on the negative. Remember that when we notice flaws (in ourselves and others), we should try to use that information to make positive change, not to spread negativity. We have a feeling of discomfort if something intense is moving to the surface, as if we shouldn’t talk about it. We would do well to fight that, and take the time to gain clarity, so we express ourselves properly. [Mercury conjunct Saturn, (both in Pisces and exact on the 28th, and lasts until March 2nd)].

Careful of overbearing or pretentious behaviours, and don’t make sudden financial decisions. [Mars in Aquarius square Jupiter in Taurus until March 6th (exact on the 26th)].

As one of the most important, and intense aspects of the year, we can harness the doubled warrior energy of Aries to fight through all of our buried inner wounds, bringing them up to the surface, and releasing them through the deeply intuitive healing powers of Pisces Season. Watch out for gossip, as deception is likely to be involved and we’re sensitive to becoming involved in it. Our thoughts and communications can be unclear, and we should take extra time to gain clarity before responding. We lack focus, easily drifting into the imagination. We may sleep more and have vivid dreams. [Mercury conjunct Neptune (both in Pisces, from March 5th to the 11th, and exact on March 8th)]

We can consciously channel this energy to overcome buried past wounds, by uniquely embracing our raw inner power, knowing this energy of the war between the sexes can be intense, and yet that working with this energy can provide long-lasting healing. Be aware of possible lack of realism. Take the time to find clarity as necessary. Anxiety may or may not be unfounded. Astrology For the Rest of Dec. 2024

Creative endeavours are favoured, and romantic matters are either pursued over-aggressively, or strongly led.

Though moving slower than Venus, Mars drives conflict here in relationships (of any type) which are already suffering from difficulties.

This is not a good transit for starting a new romance, as it’s likely to be based only on physical attraction. Wait to see how you feel about that person after.
