Of all the things Gabriel was expecting when he went to college, a public school where he’d be surrounded by people, being abandoned at a party was not something he’d thought would happen. He was usually very talkative and flirtatious around people, and so he usually had a crowd, especially since he took extra care to ensure he was stunning. Now he stood alone in the corner of a room, starting to become somewhat shy. He had a soda in hand, not one to drink. He wanted to check his appearance, but didn’t want to set down his soda can. He sighed softly, sipping it as he glanced around to see if there was anyone he knew, had heard of, or just anyone who caught his eye.
Looking around, he saw someone he’d seen around before, though not at parties or anything. He walked over, waiting a second to make sure no one else was talking to him before he spoke.
“Hey. You don’t look like you’re having the time of your life here.”
