another day of me being sad for the following reasons

none of ascana's songs are on spotify so I have to listen to them on youtube and soundcloud and I can't add them to my idol series playlist

somehow aiyuu still isn't canon

we haven't had a new lipxlip song/MV for over 3 months (otouto ni wa himitsu and hahaoyatte don't count because they're individual songs)

Questions to Kaido Asuka

Q1. Please tell us your thoughts when you decided to appear in the movie.

Asuka: Kanata called our manager Maeda-kun and suddenly shouted “we’re going to make a movie!”. At first, I didn’t know what it was, but I was surprised those two of LIPxLIP will be a movie. I can meet some himepime’s from the distribution on the screen! I was very happy when I thought that. (himepime is what Ascana calls their fans)

Q2. What was your impression of LIPxLIP?

Asuka: I met them at the audition venue, and I felt like they would definitely pass. I had a different impression from the two of us now. In the movie, I think that many LIPxLIP fans will see them for the first time. Please look forward to the LIPxLIP you’ve never seen before.

Q3. Please tell us your impressions of watching the completed movie, the highlights, and your favorite scenes.

Asuka: When I saw the finished movie, I was honestly moved. LIPxLIP are seniors that we, Ascana, respect. The two of them faced troubles but overcame various barriers. Seeing the two of them, I was able to see the history of Aizou and Yujiro. The first live is a must-see! Please check it out!

Q4. There will be a live held after, so tell us about your feelings for it enthusiastically!

Asuka: The second half of the movie is a live part! I’m happy to be on the same stage as LIPxLIP, and above all, it is my dream to have the himepime who always supports me watch the concert! We will also perform two new songs! Please look forward to it!

Q5. Finally, please give a message to the himepime!

Asuka: Himepime, thank you for visiting the theater today! How did you like the movie? Kanata is as usual (laughs). However, I’m really happy to see himepime see Ascana different from it’s normal delivery! Enjoy the special live with LIPxLIP after the screening! Q1. Please tell us your thoughts when you decided to appear in the movie.

Kanata: I was surprised and shouted to Asuka “we’re going to make a movie!” I startled him and he got angry (laughs) even though our manager Maecchi was right there. Isn’t he kind of a sadist? Everything felt abrupt, and what’s more, some people who haven’t changed their tension told me it was like office work! (laughs) Isn’t this as amazing as a Bon Festival or New Years?!

Q2. What was your impression of LIPxLIP?

Kanata: As Asuka said, there is a scene when LIPxLIP meets in the movie. Aizou and Yujiro are very close now, but I remembered that when I first met them, they weren’t like that. Both of them are very good at dancing, but in the old days, they were crazy! That was so cute! Oh, Aizou and Yujiro are younger than me.

Q3. Please tell us your impressions of watching the completed movie, the highlights, and your favorite scenes.

Kanata: When Asuka appears! I watched the completed movie with Asuka a little earlier, but isn’t it amazing that there’s an Asuka in front of me even though there was an Asuka next to me?! When the Blu-ray is released, I’d love for Maecchi to buy it

Kanata: Finally, finally, the himepime can see Ascana’s live concert! It was really exciting for us! I want Asuka and I to see Ascana singing and dancing to the himepime who are always supporting us! I was really happy when it came true this time! Thanks to the movie of Aizou and Yujiro! Thank you very much!

Q5. Finally, please give a message to the himepime!

Kanata: Is everyone great-? Thank you for today! Did you come to the theater? I’m really happy about today! Asuka probably already said this, but thank you to the himepime who always supports us! We did our best to make the himepime smile! Ascana is still growing, so continue to support us!

just a bit of PSA for my haniwa peeps: i’ve been thinking abt it but starting today, i won’t be posting news regarding asukana/ascana anymore.

ever since the live tour incident and how some ascana fans have been treating honeyworks, it’s been so hard for me to like them. i mean i still do, they’re still a part of honeyworks and i still appreciate them but i just can’t handle some of their fans anymore, and when i saw these, i just had enough

i don’t care if they’re joking or not i just don’t like seeing this kind of tweets (dw i already muted them in case you were wondering). ppl need to realize that even as a group, the artists working for honeyworks mostly work alone, especially during this whole pandemic situation, you rly expect them to finish stuff easily??? how abt you work on your own mv then??

also fyi, us honeyworks fans sometimes literally have to wait for years for a specific mv and yet you can’t even wait for several months???? honeyworks also don’t work for ascana, they might be working on their songs but they’re not their personal staff who will only work for them.

i’ve been trying so hard to be more understanding of ascana fans but rly, y’all are just annoying and tbf, you guys who said things like the tweets above don’t deserve yamako nor honeyworks at all.

so yeah, i don’t wanna make any drama and this is just my personal opinion, i’ll still watch ascana’s news closely but i won’t be summarizing anything regarding them anymore (like for novels involving them etc) so y’all have to look for another source if you want ascana stuff (i know there’s a lot so it’s not like you’re gonna miss much if i stopped posting anything regarding them)

but anyway, it’s ok if you still wanna send me ask abt them, as i said before, they’re still a part of honeyworks universe and i plan to keep treating them as such no matter how much ascana fans said that they don’t want them to be part of honeyworks--they exist bc of yamako, who’s a part of honeyworks after all
