Who Let the Dogs Out? (Plot of the Week)
The citizens of San Francisco were just beginning to accept their new world when a danger far greater than a few demons rolled into town. Ted Murphy knew that he wouldn’t survive long in the new society, so he decided to reinvent himself. Evolution was one of humanity’s greatest assets, after all. In a matter of months, Ted Murphy became Arawn, king of Ännwn. The supernatural world that San Francisco had become was not exactly like the video games that Ted was accustomed to, but there were similarities. These similarities made learning magic far easier than they might have been without previous knowledge, and Ted soon found that he had a natural talent for it. He’d heard rumors of demonkind taking over the city, and he knew that when that happened, the outlook for humans wouldn’t be good, so he devised a plan. The best way to get into the demons’ good graces was to impress them, and Ted had found the perfect spell to do just that. He summoned an ancient pack of wild dogs known as the Cŵn Annwn and set them loose upon the city, employing them to attack humans and show the demons in charge that while Arawn, king of Ännwn might be human, he was in no way on their side.
About the Cŵn Annwn:
The Cŵn Annwn have white fur, red ears, and sharp teeth
They cannot attack the one who has summoned them, as he is largely in control of their actions
They are incorporeal, spectral beings
The Cŵn Annwn’s howl is loudest at a distance, and becomes softer as it gets closer to its victims, luring them into a false sense of security
