worldbuilding is fantastic I have known this since I read these violent delights.

Marshall and Orions little tryst was so unexpected YET SO ON BRAND IM OBSESSED

Rosalind telling Orions father shit was one of my favourite moments like HE JOINED A FACTION RIVALING HIS BROTHERS TO HELP YOU.

I love how none of them have healthy parental relationships i feel so seen.

Celia and Alisas sisterly relationship is the best thing ever.

I love how when Rosalind spotted Alisa at Seagreen there was an immediate understanding of trust.

Phoebe being Priest was foreshadowed throughout foul lady fortune and I feel so dumb for not seeing it (I could go into this)

Phoebe Hong I have never felt more seen by a character.

Orion and Rosalind have left me pacing my room, screaming acting like a complete maniac throughout the dualogy and they will never not occupy my mind.

Chloe gong is probably one of the best authors whose work I've read she's so good at foreshadowing and weaving plot twists I could ramble on and on.

The atmosphere of the duologies is so perfect, she captures the bustling city, political climate and society of the place at the time PEFECTLY.

I don't think I'll ever get over the secret shanghai universe it'll forever have a special place in my heart. I've loved this book series and these characters since I was like 14 and i BEG FOR A SPECIAL EDITION TO BE RELEASED IN SOUTH AFRICA OMF
