People likes to talk shit about Hazbin Hotel, but I just profondly thought about my perspective of the show. Like, I want give props for whoever higher ups decided that the show needed a huge amount of dubs, but not only that. A Quebec French dub! They actually made a distinct dub for France French and Quebec French.
Okay, so it's a common thing done to lots of cartoons. But, the fact that they took the show infamous for its excessive swearing, translated it in my language, not only that, but a version of it from MY culture that has an absurd amount of swear words (my language is very colorful when it comes to having a bad mouth) I don't think a lot of people has any idea how fricking fun it is to watch for me.
Just so you know, since the swearing is very colorful and varied in my language, the dialogues don't feel as repetitive as in English and the delivery of the lines are just so funny.
Okay, for example, Lucifer is an old royal and an ex-angel. Some of the choices for his swear words are usually from older French speech and he rarely cut his words. (we cut a lot of words when we talk in Quebec. Think things like "g'morning" but for way too many things). But Angel Dust is absolute raw, non-stop swears and talk very badly. Lot of anglicism in his vocab too: he's not proper at all. And just a lot of things like that that they translated so well in Quebec French. ;w; (the songs are better in English though)
So, all that to say, being able to enjoy this raunchy musical cartoon in many ways really adds to the fun of it and makes it worth it to watch it way too many times (I kept re-watching season 1 to compare France French and Quebec French, hehe. They're so much less raunchy in France French. It feels less raunchy for me anyway. Like, "oh this has too many swear words? Let me dim that down a bit to make it actually listenable" While in Quebec French it's "Omg! They swear every sentences!? Omg! That's perfect! We all know at least one guy who swears every sentences. So relatable!"). So, season 2 is coming, I'm eager for it and it's not just or really because I'm super invested, it's really the experience that is sooooo fun for me. Oogh–
Diego from Ice Age, leave Ben alone!
Lucas, El, and Dustin haven't had proper (consistent) screentime together since season 1...
