Forgotten Memories
Forgotten Memories: I watch as my mother moves the slit in her toga, revealing a dagger strapped to her thigh. She unsheaths it, showing me the deadly metal shimmering in the sunlight. @Cliohistorygeek @LostPlanetPluto #thePantheon #WritingCommunity
I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. All I can do is think. There is a part of my memory that is still missing. Like a fog, I can’t clear. Once I started to remember my past with Atë and…Eros, I felt most of the fog lift, except for a small chunk. A part of my history is still missing and I am determined to figure it out. It bothers me that I, the muse of History, can’t remember something of my own past.

ATE (Atê), according to Hesiod, a daughter of Eris, and according to Homer of Zeus, was an ancient Greek divinity, who led both gods and men to rash and inconsiderate actions and to suffering. She once even induced Zeus, at the birth of Heracles, to take an oath by which Hera was afterwards enabled to give to Eurystheus the power which had been destined for Heracles. When Zeus discovered his rashness, he hurled Ate from Olympus and banished her for ever from the abodes of the gods. In the tragic writers Ate appears in a different light: she avenges evil deeds and inflicts just punishments upon the offenders and their posterity , so that her character here is almost the same as that of Nemesis and Erinnys. She appears most prominent in the dramas of Aeschylus, and least in those of Euripides, with whom the idea of Dike is more fully developed.ATE was the personified goddess of delusion, infatuation, blind folly, rash action and reckless impulse who led men down the path of ruin. Her power was countered by the Litai which followed in her wake.

A Little Therapy Never Hurt, Part I : So here I am. I will do the rehab like I am supposed to. Shit, I will do anything just as long as they don't send me back. A Little Help From My Friends
A Little Help From My Friends : “It was three thousand years ago. I was naked, Dad pissed me off, so I sprinted across the sea to a place named Carthage. Ended up over tilting the scales of some guy named Hannibal, who went on to make something of a name for himself. After that, it’s been a blur of booze and booty.” Caerus (Jason Elmassian) #greekmythology #greece #mythology #greek #greekmyth #art #travel #greekgoddesses #theme #greekmyths #bhfyp #writing #writersofinstagram #writer #love #writingcommunity #writerscommunity #words #art #writers #writersofig #reading #life #wordporn #books #write #amwriting #lovequotes #author Read the full article
Atë Loves Me Not, Part I
Atë Loves Me Not, Part I : Sitting back on my heels, I looked at her, taking every inch of her all in. My breath caught in my throat. “It would have at least been nice to be given a choice. But you took that away from me.” As angry as I was, I knew she was right. My eyes softened.
