across the second dimension is such a crazy concept to me i need to know who came up with that. hey yknow all those beloved children’s tv icons we’ve created what if they were child soldiers
legit tho do you guys remember how goddamn hardcore the phineas and ferb movie went. they were like "oh yeah we're making a movie for this happy episodic lil comedy show. in this movie they travel to another dimension where they're under a despotism and the main villain physically mutilated and enslaved his nemesis years ago and the happy optimist character's counterpart is terrified to go outside and the teenage girl whose main personality trait in the mainline is 'getting her brothers in trouble' is now the leader of a resistance at 15 and doing everything in her power to keep her brothers safe including sacrificing our heroes if need be. half the characters' friendships are broken and the other half don't know each other. at one point everyone is almost fed to a monster over a pit of lava. also we are now playing baseball with platypus tails" and 11yo me was just like "neat"

rewatching at2d and i just love how when pnf are asked who they are in the 2nd dimension phineas responds with "we're candace's brothers!" like not a single thought to say oh im phineas and thats ferb. he just assumes that everyone knows candace because he doesnt see why they wouldnt since shes so important to him. he loves his sister so much. the flynn-fletcher siblings mean so much to me
