MAYBE farmland Californians are more normal than coastal Californians, but it was in the HEART of central CA farm country that-- on a BUS-- that I overheard every mad detail of this one gal's plan to leave her stable boyfriend for the ex she was stalking, and that she didn't care if his mother wanted to get a restraining order because she was going to have this man's baby. I don't know who she was directing her plan to, but every single one of us on that bus heard it.

Personally, I have nothing against them *inserts footnote*: as a matter of fact, footnotes were the place were Things Happened. Only few people were aware of this of course, because most preferred to ignore them. Both the things and the footnotes *end of footnote*

Hehe! I’M GLAD THAT WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE!! Because seriously, this fic is less than 1000 words at present, and I already have 9 footnotes...

Ohhh for the AU idea... I'm going to throw Jack and Gil from Transylvania 6-5000 at you, because there are only so many people I can talk about that movie with.

Character: Jack

Relationship: Jack and Gil

Setting: Canon 

AU: So I’m thinking a future AU, not waaay in the future, but in the canon setting where the movie still happened as it happened, but Jack and Gil are this older married couple now. They continued to work and report together for years and it took aaages for them to fully admit that there was anything between them. Two sets of ages actually. One for themselves to admit to themselves and each other that there was not only attraction but a deep love between them. Then there was a whole other age for them to start to mention it to other people. Not totally because they were that worried about it, mostly because their dynamic was pretty much exactly the same at work regardless. So mid 2000′s hit. I’m talking Twilight, True Blood, the whole vampire era, then the zombie era after that. And every time there’s this new “monster fantasy” sensation on tv, they get to talking about their time in Transylvania and argue about who believed what parts of it and who was scared and all that, and it’s basically just adorable wholesomeness...and this is probably the only time that you’ll ever get “adorable” and “wholesome” from me with zero semblance of tragedy, angst, or trauma.

Sure, its lovely to go and get it done and feel all pampered and all, he'd do it for himself anyway, but boy... once he notices the way Crowley *looks* at his hands

(meanwhile, what do you want to bet it's the indulgence of the manicures that really draws him? Like... the very IDEA of Aziraphale indulging in an unnecessary pleasure DOES things to that demon, squiggly warm fluttery things)

aziraphale being vain, wanting that attention, not even ashamed of it... true bad boy right there, absolute miscreant.

what a terrible angel, adorning himself with useless decoration. even worse, smirking when he catches crowley looking!

i headcanon that when aziraphale gets irritable, vindictive, nearly even violent in someone not-crowley’s direction, crowley gets uncomfortably 😲😍 about it, even more so than other things aziraphale shouldnt be doing

THE SOUND BALANCE so few movies have remotely acceptable sound balance nowadays I didn't have to wear earplugs to enjoy Hotel Artemis and I'm still raving about it

Sound balancing is so important to making an enjoyable film, and so few productions care about it anymore! I actually think the last action film I saw that cared about it’s sound balance was Fury Road, which is 3 years old now. It’s nice to not feel like I needed earplugs to avoid getting tinnitus from watching the film!
