@atelcphcbics answered an ask.
Him and a couple of other heroes had been spending some time together nearby when they’d gotten word about some 𝔨𝔦𝔡 getting involved with a villain from the precinct. Police had already shown up and taken an assessment of the situation when he strolled in. The villain was being 𝔞𝔭𝔭𝔯𝔢𝔥𝔢𝔫𝔡𝔢𝔡 and put in the back of a police car when he approached one of the officers asking after the kid. He’d been directed to a young woman standing off to one side, his brow 𝔣𝔲𝔯𝔯𝔬𝔴𝔦𝔫𝔤 at the blood stains splattered across her dress and the telltale tear of what must have been a weapon cutting through the vibrant fabric.
Oboro sighed as he took in the young girl’s state, his fingers rubbing into his temple. One of the cops who’d already spoken with her had mentioned that she at least had run into the scene with a 𝔭𝔯𝔬𝔳𝔦𝔰𝔦𝔬𝔫𝔞𝔩 license, even if she should have been working under the supervision of another pro. He shook his head, a bit of tired 𝔩𝔞𝔲𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔢𝔯 bubbling out of him. He’d been a kid once, so he supposed he couldn’t judge her 𝔱𝔬𝔬 𝔪𝔲𝔠𝔥 for her drive.
❝ You’re gonna make a 𝔤𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔱 pro one day, but let’s be careful in the meantime, a’ight? ❞ he said, once he’d gotten an explanation out of her. ❝ How are you feeling? Be 𝔥𝔬𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔱 with me now; Knowing when people are lying is one of my 𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔯 special talents. ❞
