Twin theory..could Toby be A (Fake) after all..?!
I was thinking how Marlene King and some of the cast said there will be twin reveal on the show and I know everyone thought it will be Charles and Jason. But what if its not?!
I mean Charles is 15 months older than Jason plus Jason is a Hastings and Charles is dilaurantis. so they won’t resemble each other much like the girls were expecting them to. so this ‘Rhys’ or whoever he is, is just another red herring to distract us and the rest of the characters. i’m thinking since the girls looked shocked and might i say ‘freaked out’ though rightly so, could it be more because it is someone they just saw rather than some one they know?
I am a big fan of the Wren theory but recently I’m itching towards Toby. Not necessarily as him but as a twin theory. if you think about it Toby has blue/grey eyes. sometimes people who are born with blue eyes tend to have their eye color lighten up as they grow older getting a bit of grayish blue color. also Toby’s hair has been dirty blond on and off the seasons. there is also the whole Mrs. Cavanaugh’s death in Radley and how she used to take care of the ‘boy’ comments. Maybe Mrs. Cavanaugh cannot have kids and adopted Toby at birth or maybe she lost her kid at birth and switched one of the babies. the reverse is also true maybe Mrs.Dilaurantis lost kid and thought she might never have them again so had a Doc or nurse switch one of the twin babies from next room. since she had Jason (out of affair) within 15 months after Charles it indicates and kind of supports maybe she lost baby. I mean who has an affair so soon after they have a kid? on the other hand, there are several statistical reports that say people tend to likely have affairs as way of dealing with grief of miscarriage. Mr.Dilaurantis seems to not like Charles much since a kid and Mrs.D is way more loving than she was with Alison or Jason. could it be guilt of stealing another’s kid and losing her very own first kid? As for Charles ‘illness’ usually mental instability or any related illness are hereditary especially at such an early stage and we all know Mrs. C was admitted in Radley...it kinda makes sense if you think about it!
Not to mention Toby goes out of town a lot and before that always hanging around Hastings house which is next to dilaurantis!
now, maybe they are accidentally switched at birth or one of them is adopted? also, maybe one of them died, that motorbike accident. I mean Toby is really different from Season 3 on wards while it could be because of joining Team A it could also be a different person. what better way to screw with your biggest enemy (remember Spencer is the real competition, figuring out the hints and almost always being a step too close to figuring out)than being close to her and have her trust you as one does a bf?
or maybe the real toby is nuts too? come on No one can be that perfect of course it would mean we should suspect Caleb too for being such as perfect boyfriend but Toby has been from episode 1 plus he fits the theory. check the age, hair and eye color, radley history and his ‘miraculous’ transformation from carpenter to cop within 2 episodes.
I thought about this as how almost always the last person we suspect is the answer but in this show we suspected everybody. but who is the first person to be branded as A and then dismissed with ‘proof’ whom we don’t see as a bad guy anymore..Toby!
It would freak the girls if they saw Toby with them seconds before the mask was revealed to have been Toby..it would be an awesome plot twist and this is where my twin theory comes.
