Ha. Gotcha. Challenging you to the Handwriting Tag! The tag will be found on my blog by adding /tagged/handwriting+tag Usual rules apply, you don't HAVE to do it, but I'm interested in your answers... Mwa. Ha. Hahaha. Ha. ^^
Challenge accepted ;DI’m gonna do it next week, thou :’3 This weekend I have no time :’D
Ok so I was tagged to do a thing! Since I never get tagged into anything I decided I’ll give it a go. Thank you atlas101, for tagging me. I however am not going to tag anyone because I’m a piece of poop who’s too lazy to make up 11 questions. :D
1. Something you carry with you everywhere?(Physical object)
- I’d love to answer something exciting here like my magic wand but I think I’m gonna stick with my 5 lipbalms, my iPhone and my library card. Or my iPad for writing down ideas!
2. The most prominent item or object in your room/house?
- Oh man, this is a tough one. I think our antique cabinet in the living room is the most prominent one.
3. Favourite letter?
- M. Or J.
4. Weapon of choice?
- The magic flowing in me.
5. Most obscure thing you do/habit you have?
- My ability to behave like a complete idiot in front of people I don’t know that well is legendary. Also I smile when I talk about things that are hard to talk about (feelings and shit)
6. The most exciting thing you have done?
- I have done a lot of exciting things D: Well going to Legoland last summer or traveling to Berlin in January were pretty damn exciting!
7. If you could change one thing from history, what would it be and why?
- (Killing off Gatsby, duh.) Letting fashion change so that people nowadays don’t wear 20’s clothes or listen to 20’s music anymore. Because of my 20’s fetish. I love 20’s fashion. (Try obsessed with it krhm)
8. The most precious thing you own & why is it precious to you?
- I have a few specific pieces of jewellery from several people that are really important to me; they serve as memories of the people or as love confessions. Also a few poems. Needless to say more of those.
9. Angular or smooth?
- Smooth, to soften my own sharper features.
10. Fictional character you relate to most?
- Idk I have to say Elsa here. As an older sister who is obviously quite different from the younger siblings I relate to Elsa a lot in wanting to protect them - sometimes protect them from me, sometimes from the world - and sometimes I’d just like to let it all go and run around mountains creating awesome ice castles and singing. (The feeling of being separated from the rest of the world isn’t that strange to me either. Nor is the happy ending, at least so far.)
Concerning your boot repair pic; Firstly, usage of clothespins as clamps is genius! I gotta remember that. Secondly, I recently fixed a boot for a friend of mine and had a seam in a place where I couldn't reach with any clamps, so I used magnets instead. Thought that might come in handy at some point, so sharing tips.
n_nI was actually gluing the zipper into the boot :’3I changed the zippers from both of them because in the other one the zipper was starting to tear apart.. Also I had to hand sew the part that didn’t fit into the sewing machine I was using >__>
An 8-ball was used as a fortune telling device in the 1940 Three Stooges short, "You Nazty Spy", in which it was referred to as a "magic ball". You're welcome =D
To sum it up: I had great time and it was nice to meet people, both old and new! Even though I only slept like maybe 3 hours on the train I still were able to go through the whole day!
~Saturday~
Arrived to Tampere around 5:40-5:45, like I said before, I had slept only a few hours on the train. Met atlas101 (by accident, didn't know he was going to be there) on the train station and proceeded to hang out with him and a random dude 'till atlas' friends arrived, after which we walked to Tampere Talo to wait for the con to begin. We were the first in line to go inside, though some of atlas' friends had to go wait for the ticket sales to start, for they had not bought theirs in advance. We talked and just hung out (literally) for the about 2 hours that we had before the con began.
Met another friend of mine inside the con and walked around a bit with her, but not long after meeting her kloord informed of her presence at the con and I went with her to help with getting TARDIS out of her car and then we waited for her friends to arrive and help carry all the pieces inside. Then kloord put the TARDIS together and we went to check the bazaar.
When we were done with the bazaar, we went to kloord's car to fetch her cosplay which she then proceeded to put on, and we then had to be sort of a maintenance unit for her and check that everything was in place when someone wanted to take a picture :D We also had to work as her eyes every time she was fully dressed, because she couldn't see a thing in the cosplay. This went on for a while, we met rikashock by a chance (though she disappeared again IIRC), and just walked around Tampere Talo and the park outside until it was time for us to go queuing for a anime/video game concert. We met rikashock at the queue again x)
I absolutely adored the concert, especially the Pokémon Red/Blue part, even though they should've picked some better songs for the medley, Ghibli part was also quite lovely. After it kloord changed back to her normal clothes and we proceeded to find a place to eat. After me being a drag (sorry...) and protesting against going to Amarillo, we still went to eat there after all. The food was good, that I can't complain about, but it was also quite expensive for my tastes.
We got back to the con area when we were done eating, and I wanted to try boffering (fighting with foam weapons/ boffers) which was great fun for me! I even got to fight together with Thorin Oakenshield >D I had to quit tho because 1) I got cramps 2) someone hit my ear and my stud earring came off, though it was lucky in a way that I finally got my ears treated after a few weeks of having some complications. After I got away from the First Aid we went to watch "EVIL - How evil are your villains?" lecture, which was pretty funny and a bit informative too!
Afterwards kloord and I parted ways with her friends because they wanted to continue the night with some drinking and we wanted to sleep, so we went to the hotel, checked the newest Homestuck update and went to bed. Kloord let me sleep on the double bed while she slept on some sort of... I don't even know what that thing was :--D
~Sunday~
Woke up at 8:30, and when we were done with our respective morning routines kloord and I returned to the con area, where we waited for her friends and then went to check the bazaar again. This time I even bought some stuff (I'll make another post about it)!
Atlas101 helped with putting batteries in this thing I bought (thank you for that!) and kloord, rikashock and I went to catch something to eat at Subway. We had to wait about half an hour before it opened tho, and after we got our sandwiches we immediately went back to Tampere Talo to queue for The Legend of Zelda piano concert that would begin quite soon (rikashock didn't come to the concert though). Luckily kloord's friends were in line already and we kinda just slipped next to them (the line wasn't very long at that point).
Again, I loved the concert to death! There were a few places where the pianist screwed up a little bit and played the wrong note and you could tell he was nervous, but it didn't bother me that much. I was on the verge of crying at times because it was just so beautiful and nostalgic! There was some other program kloord and her friends wanted to see after the concert, so they went in line for that but I didn't want to go watch it (plus they were planning on watching the program after that one in the same room which would've lasted so long that I might not have made it to the train) so I left them, said goodbyes just in case, and proceeded to find rikashock to hang out with. Which we did for a little while, but she had a program she wanted to see and I wanted to go boffering again, so we parted ways, too.
I fought with the boffers for about or over an hour and went to get some water inside. There I just... walked around without knowing what to do, and then sat down on the stairs near the TARDIS. It so happened that I did get to meet kloord and her friends again before leaving, rikashock too, and this time I said my goodbyes for real and walked to the train station. There, while waiting for the train, I met laventelia and some of her friends and talked with them 'till the train arrived after which they went to their seats and I went to mine. The train trip was pretty pleasant, I texted with morgan4816 and listened to an episode of Welcome to Night Vale. But then it became clear that the train would not be in time for me to catch the last bus home and I was so tired and pissed and everything. Luckily I could apply for compensation because the train was over an hour late... After that I got home, browsed the con tags and went to bed.
As I said before, it was a wonderful experience overall! I'm sorry for being sort of a drag sometimes tho...
And I did meet a few other people I knew too, even though I haven't mentioned them in this post, you know who you are! (disclaimer: this doesn't mean that you're not important enough to be mentioned, it just means that the encounters were quite short)
