The guitar is used a lot in early Homestuck to represent Jack Noir (see Knife's Edge), along with the sax. The bass and flute are obviously Jade's instruments, but where the flute only has 2 small moments, the bass underlines the entire song. My guess for the shamisen is Becquerel, as it also plays during Umbral Ultimatum ([S] Jade: Enter). Essentially, this would have been a badass fight theme for Jade and Bec Noir."
