Alexander McQueen: 'Sarabande' S/S 2007
Sarabande in Colour, June 2024
I'll say it again: this still is Renaissance perfection and I couldn't wait to draw those vibrant purple and oranges. I am now satisfied, there's blueish powder all around my room and lots of love in my heart. I haven't counted the hours it took me to complete, but I'm pretty sure it was more than 12.

Atomic Bonsai vs Sarabande
Which is the better Homestuck track?
Atomic Bonsai
Sarabande
Atomic Bonsai From Strife! By Tensei Propaganda: "This song is wonderful! It incorporates 4 main instruments: electric guitar, bass, flute, and what I believe is a shamisen (idk my instruments). The guitar is used a lot in early Homestuck to represent Jack Noir (see Knife's Edge), along with the sax. The bass and flute are obviously Jade's instruments, but where the flute only has 2 small moments, the bass underlines the entire song. My guess for the shamisen is Becquerel, as it also plays during Umbral Ultimatum ([S] Jade: Enter). Essentially, this would have been a badass fight theme for Jade and Bec Noir." "atomic bonsai keeps appearing on my yt recommended so i keep listening to it. it's a great track" "FUCKING FIRE!!!!!!!!! loveeee these styles of instruments loveeeee where they appear in hs songs so gooddddddd. also song time is 420. so. fucking awesome. needs to win"

in a slight departure from my regularly scheduled bad vibes: happy Pride! to celebrate, I'd like to share something beautiful: SJ Sloat's miraculous HOTEL ALMIGHTY. joy is more than something scavenged, in this meeting of collage and erasure--it's carved in relief. every page consoles, triumphant.
I'll be giving away one copy of HOTEL ALMIGHTY at the end of the month. to enter, just comment "pick me!" (US only, shipping directly from Sarabande Books.)

This is me relearning the very first piece I ever arranged for pedal harp.
Sarabandes!
I once beat the record for the most sarabandes danced in a single evening, much to the exhaustion of the good ladies and gentlemen of the Gate.
