Yes! The kiss was so unnecessary and cringy. I also hated how long they kept Eleven feminine and blond. Trudging through the forest with a wig and dress? Really? The Barb thing could have gone down a lot better too!

Thank god I’m not the only one. The wig thing was sort of unnecessary. Like why didn’t they just dress her as a boy since she could easily be mistaken as one. Don’t they have more boy clothes easily accessible? It was so heteronormative. Like Mike could still like her if she wasn’t dressed like a girl. Adding that part with her wanting to be pretty was so strange. It didn’t fit any of her flashbacks locked up. If she had a picture of like her mother or something while locked up and her wanting to look like her mother would be one thing. But it didn’t fit.

I AM SO UPSET ABOUT HOW THEY HANDLED FEMALE CHARACTERS. Except for Mike’s mother actually caring and not being completely absent which is a usual thing for movies about kids. Also Will’s mom was good. And I’m not just saying that because it was Winona Ryder and I love her. And then I am serious about Steve being a fantastic character. Like I’m so surprised how that rounded out. And the plot was really good and suspenseful and A+ on all that.

But yeah. So many emotions.

oh yeah, i completely forgot that was an option. do you know if you can completely hide a single blacklisted phrase, or if it’s a package deal?

thanks! i have both that and 500px blacklisted, but it’s still a long list of hidden posts with maybe one or two actual tag relevant things on a page. oh well

16, 25, 28,29 from the video game ask

16:Character you've hated most? From what game?Hated because they were boring: Kratos. yeah. I said it. God of War is the farthest thing from being my thing. It’s a gameplay I don’t like, it’s an overly simple story that acts like it’s overly large, it’s a character with a manufactured tragedy and very little else. I would have said Geralt of Rivia but, honestly, the things we learn in Witcher 3 and the development he finally gets there really do make his characterization in earlier iterations understandable now.

Hated because they were well-written and genuinely, powerfully hatable: David from The Last of Us. A close second is Andrew Ryan/you-know-who (trying not to spoil too much) from Bioshock. But David was just a hair more real. He was manipulative in a very real way, he displayed real-world grooming tactics that predators use, he just makes my skin crawl. And the battle with him does such a great job of making you feel predated upon which is precisely what Ellie is feeling.

Yep, that was me!! We saved up a really shameful number of bottle caps (living in a house with eight other college students helped), and our friend got in to the PAX show floor early and convinced the people working the Bethesda booth to take the padlocked ammo box and play along. He had the key, but he had me convinced that he actually picked it with a bobby pin. It was pretty great~
