I know I have a ton of tea-lovers and appreciators who follow me, so let me ask a few questions of you all!

I know internets are hard sometimes, as are interactions on it, and I’m not even sure how many of you Discord, but would there be any interest for a Writing server?

Just a spot where we can chat about writing—and kind: fanfiction, original, the process, the struggles, the joys, throw out ideas and bounce them around, etc and so forth.

I am totally willing to make a server if there’s enough interest! I’m finding I like discord a lot for interactions and idea tossing around etc, as with the DARP group I’m in, but I’d kind of love to have one for more writing project-oriented talk (and possibly sharing).

I don’t think the ? To make posts an ask even works anymore so just hit me up with a reply or reblog if this seems like something that interests you! And if you’re interested but unsure about discord, we can talk about that, too, as I was apprehensive about it at first but now that I have the hang of it it’s actually a pretty cool platform.

For whatever reason, there are just certain book series that I absolutely must have the same editions of for all the books, and certain editions/covers at that.

Does anyone else have this compulsion?

Friends who enjoy music!

I am very soon (as in, nine days soon) going on a 16-day road trip out westerly in the US. Thus, I of course need to make a playlist for this.

So, what I would like from all of you--mutuals, followers, lurkers--are your favorite desert songs, or songs that make you think of the desert for whatever reason even if they're not explicitly about the desert. Songs you like about big expanses, about an endless sky, or a sea of stars.

I will make a masterlist from what you all suggest and my own contributions, and make a cohesive playlist on Spotify (sorry folks without, that's the only playlist thing I got right now) and share it!

Are you named after someone?: My great-grandmother’s middle name. And actually my middle name is a family name, too (my mother had the same, her mother had the same, her father has the same)

When was the last time you cried?: Probably sometime this week, remembering my sweetie boy

Do you have kids?: just a four-footed one

Do you use sarcasm a lot?: I use it at opportune moments for maximum effect

What’s the first thing you notice about people?: Probably eyes, nose, and/or shoulders

What’s your eye color?: Blue-grey-ish

Scary movies or happy endings?: I’m fine with both depending on my mood? But I’d rather an ending that fits where the narrative was going, either way or something else entirely

Any special talents?: always getting gauge when knitting, having absolutely no luck in my life

What are your hobbies?: too many? knitting, crocheting, photography, playing music, video games

Do you have any pets?: I’m done to one, now, unfortunately

What sports do you play/have played?: I used to bowl a lot (family of bowlers haha). More recently it’s been brazillian jiu jitsu and historic sword fighting (which I would love to have the money to pick back up again one day ugh)

Favorite subject at school?: English classes were always my favorites. I did have a really awesome anthropology teacher in college, and it was super fascinating.

Dream job?: Published author, able to work on creative pursuits, and also working in some capacity with an organization that helps the environment in some way

html help

working on customizing a tumblr theme---really just replacing a few images to fit better, so it shouldn’t mess things up that badly, but posts on this particular blog won’t show. I’m not well-versed enough in html/css to readily identify the issue.

any friends/mutuals/lurkers out there more familiar with such things wiling to give me a hand?
