ADHD friends! I need your help!
I’m trying to design the personifications of ADD, ADHD, and Autism as siblings to compare and contrast the disorders.
I grew up around an ADHD mom, brother, and cousins so I have a good idea on how it’s different from my ADD, but I would still like some input from you!
I just need a symptom list (just whatever comes to mind) and your gender because we all know that it presents differently in different genders.
I managed to have a conversation for longer than two sentences with this guy I like (aaah), and it was so interesting because he kept mentioning how fidgety he is and how he “can’t still still for longer than 15 minutes”, and how he’s worried about going into honours because he doesn’t have the focus to write a 15,000 word thesis, and I don’t want to make assumptions and say he’s ND, but my neurodiverse radar was going OFF.
I would love to be able to tactfully inquire whether the object of my weird borderline creepy five-year infatuation is neurodiverse, or more specifically ADHD, but I know such an opportunity would never ever come up in a million years. Still, that would explain so much. I’m fascinated.
ADDress - positivity on ADHD
October is ADHD Awareness Month! I originally drew and printed this comic in 2017, but I decided I was ready to post it online.

The thing about finding you have adhd later in life I'm 16 is that you didn't learn some basic things or know just a part of it
Eg. I had to learn how to count hours in a analogue clock so I could put the written hours in a clock and able to do the math stuff
So while most people just had to learn the angles (like, 1 hour have 30°) I had to learn how to read the hours first
I can't be the only one
I couldn't sleep so at some point I decided to play trivia track
It's now 3:26am, I have to wake up at 6:30am for school but again, I can't sleep so now I can tell you that Marie-Antoinette didn't actually said "let them eat cake"
And I wanted to remember this fact so now I can actually kinda tell you the short version shown on the History site of the whole thing
I guess I'll try to sleep again
Adhd: *do one thing*
Adhd: *do all things*
There is no between
Honestly I'm so lucky I can speak in public even tho I get really nervous
Eg: I once had to do a slide and forgot my teacher asked for pictures but even tho I only had to present to her I got a good grade bc my presentation was good
Same thing with my portuguese class (bc I'm from Brazil so it's the equivalent to english classes) I had to write a reporting (? As in journalism) and I even accidentally clipped the paper upside down but bc I could present it to the class I got a great grade
