What do they offer to worshippers?: He offers luck in a performance, a good crowd, charisma and occasionally some inspiration. Sometimes, if given a good offering, he will give them a silver tongue so they can speak their way out of their troubles. Depending on what you ask for, he may offer the ability to hide your emotions from others in the room, or the ability to lie to get out of trouble. It’s not much, but it’s enough for some. Shield Rumrunner: A 1920s Marvel AU
The year is 1924. The hems are shorter, the music is wilder, and the streets of America are drier…
Or so some think.
After the recent passing of of the 18th Amendment, many have taken the law—and liquor—into their own hands.
"Shield" is the name of a secret juice joint, nestled behind a drug store. All it takes is a business card with the stamp of an eagle on it to open one of two hidden passageways and descend into the glowing gaiety of New York’s hottest speakeasies.
Opened in 1922, Shield has been growing and thriving in the alcoholic anarchy, without much competition. However, as prohibition continues to settle and fester and in the deepest darkest parts of people’s hearts, competing juice joints began to pop up everywhere. Soon, Shield was no longer everyone’s favorite speakeasy.
Crowds are thinning, and Shield’s owner is none too happy with that.
Of course, Shield doesn’t run itself. There are several employees that help the juice joint along and are trying to keep it afloat.

One of Shield’s more dangerous jobs. The Muscle ensures the booze gets from Point A to Point B, and sometimes keeps the peace in the speakeasy itself.

This is a little open verse I'm starting in which the characters involved are members of a mafia and the dark adventures they get up to. Heavily inspired by the game Town of Salem. Rules below!

Your blog can be part of other AU groups and have other verses. There is no need to make an account specifically for this AU.
Anything in relation to the AU should be tagged "v: family comes first", just for the sake of practicality.
I would appreciate it if you ran it over with me before adding something special onto your character for their role. I'll more than likely say yes.
Any threads where specific characters die and/or are fatally harmed MUST be planned out with that mun beforehand.
