AAAAAA, I don't need another AU idea, but my brain is like nah.
Like I was thinking about the Dream Nail and why the Moth Tribe would be so looking forward to the one meant to wield it, and then about how usually in anything mystical there is always a balance that has to be maintained. Like most High Fantasy has where things happen because the order of the magic or nature is out of whack thus why bad things keep happening.
So like, what if something had gone awry when Pale King and Radiance got into their territory dispute because them plus the White Lady in one relatively small area/kingdom was making things just go out of control because TOO MUCH LIGHT.
Which means not only are we dealing with the entire feud between Radi and PK causing an imbalance, but then say like something happens and Radiance kinda gets sick and starts to fade away due to being sealed away, but the power of her realm kinda needs to go to someone. Someone usually on the spectrum of power for Light, but with just how much light is in this area already it instead latches on to the Pure Vessel and kinda mellows out into a more shadow like power. Like it actually resembles less the orange sunrise of Radiance power and turns into like a dusky black with streaks of dark blue and white like a sky turning to night.
That means the whole aspect of the Dream Nail is that the one who wields it is supposed to aid the one who holds the power of Dreams. Which was Radi, but now is Pure Vessel which makes it being the Knight/Ghost who holds it makes it even more obvious that Light is way too much in the area.
Thinking about what this could mean regarding power structure is just so much. Especially since this kinda shoves into PK's face that he kinda has to share the kingdom and admit the vessels are sentient.
