A little story of a new oc
Warning mentions of needles, test subjects and death
Sorry I'm on mobile and it won't let me do a cut
CR-5 it was the name that he had been given since he had woken up. The name that had been tattooed into his upper lip like some kind of beast of burden. That was the first experience with pain, in fact that was all ten of their first experience with pain a buzzing needle that punched their name into them.
All ten of them, each with the same pale skin, golden eyes and white hair. All ten of them blank as a factory wiped datapad, all ten of them needing teaching, programming. Basic commands and understanding were needed to have a steady foundation to grow on.
It seemed to all appear in what they came to know as a day. Strapped into hard chairs, they all struggled under the heavy bindings sounds not even sounding like words escaped them until they were gagged and hooked up properly. They shrugged even more as the needles were placed, their eyes taped open. And then it was like a switch was turned on.
Everything came at once, everything that they needed to know. And nothing that they didn't.
They belonged to a man, a Cathar named Lethe, a man they were to respond to in any way he asked. They knew there was another man they were to listen to a younger man who wasn't like Lethe, Sylvren. That one was gentler for the most part, yet his words were just as heavy as Lethe's.
All ten of them were more than happy to follow the commands after all comfort and treats came with doing that. Though their stomachs never knew what a treat was until it was given.
Tests came in rounds, each one different in their own way. Solving puzzles, running until one fell over, sequence following, surviving extremes that they were placed in. Each test followed up by more needles and more small commands.
They lived together in a cell when they were not needed cots were placed against the walls and a small single wash station was there for them to tend to themselves. Things for a while was alright.
9 became violent one day after testing and with a blaster shot he was put down. His body dropping down to the ground only to be caught under the table he lifted to throw.
Later on it was feeding time that spurred 2 to attack 4 over their until finished food. Lethe and Sylvren were too late to pull them apart but another blaster shot and 2 and 4 joined 9 in being dragged off out of the room.
10 though was carried out after he failed to wake up after a test.
The day 10 was removed was the day that talking in the room came to an end. Only 10 and 5 had spoken proper words. 10 and 5 who had started to teach each other more words after each interaction with Lethe and Sylvren.
That was 5's first experience with loss, and the first that he noticed that his brothers didn't feel the same way.
He tried to get them to interact in one way or another, to get them to talk or listen to him and yet nothing came his way. He was their brother, their clone and yet they were not the same. He was smarter than them, smart enough to realize that there was a way to get out of his cell from the inside. The one who not only mimicked the words he heard but also the words he saw them type. More importantly he learned their passwords, their codes and figured out that Sylvren's code was the best one to use.
They were to become something powerful, something feared and controlled by Lethe. Something mixed with Rakghoul DNA to create the final thing.
Each one of them had a chart, each one was ranked on who was succeeding and who was failing. And from the notes left on his own page 5 decided to take matters into his own hands. He was the smartest, his brothers too dumb to be used for the project, he was listed first to be tested if he could clear some check points. All he had to do was purposely fail and wait until someone else could take his spot.
It was a clear cut goal at first, CR-5 took to the night after all had left the labs to roam and learn. Then it became a never ending cycle of nightly roaming and snooping. He tried to teach his brothers more, but it was useless they wouldn't listen to him. Their programming not allowing them to listen to their own brother.
Eventually the remaining brothers were rounded up from their cells and walked off elsewhere. Leaving CR-5 on his own to endure the silence of the once filled room on his own.
