dream sans doodles + spectator dream

short lore: spectator dream is 'dream' after the neutral ending, something separated him into two, leaving faceless remembrance of what he was before, he couldn't do anything but watch as the cycle repeats itself, over and over, he's really stealthy (cuz he's a spirit) and he cannot be destroyed or killed, he's just there, stuck the new 'dream' and his own brother suffer forever.

One of my favorite things about the big "twist" of Higurashi wrt to Hanyuu is that the things that you thought were terrifying and foreboding instead become deeply heartbreaking as you realize it's Hanyuu trying to help and accidentally making everything worse for everyone

No Mistakes Sub-AU

The premise of this AU is “What if the Transcendence happened, but nothing went horribly wrong? Bill is simply defeated; nobody dies and nobody transforms into some eldritch creature.”

  Some of the major changes that result from this change:

Dipper and Mabel live with their parents until they graduate high-school (they visit Gravity Falls in the summer)

Dipper ends up becoming a sort of professional ghostbuster

More broadly, he’s dealing with spirits formed by someone’s mind/emotions, whether it be ghosts or other beings. He has a bit of specialized knowledge on demons due to some similarities, but not a lot. He also has broader knowledge on a lot of magic as a whole. (this is knowledge he gains over time by learning and not by some magical means)

Wendy doesn’t die relatively early on; she and Dipper often tag team, which prevented her from being killed by a demon.

Willow dies during childbirth.

The Woodsman event never happens; whether Hank and Acacia are still kidnapped is up in the air, but if they are, they are rescued by another means.

Mabel never gives Dipper her soul. (duh)

Dipper is much less dependent on Mabel than in the standard AU. They are still incredibly close, but he doesn’t live in the shack forever.

Dipper is much more similar to Dipper from the show than Alcor.

A minor change I find really funny:

Dipper despises Henry’s dad in the hot boiling blood type of way (As opposed to Henry and Mabel who just want him to get out of their life), and Henry’s dad hates him just as much. Like on a scale from 1-10 it’s approaching an 11. Houses have been graffitied, windows have been smashed, tires have been slashed, and lawsuits have been filed.
