This morning we went on an adventure to visit Santa at his workshop. Audrey was very excited the whole way there but upon seeing Santa in the flesh the excitement slowly turned into fear. There was a lot of tears when her turn came around which meant BJ and I had to jump in to be able to get a photo this year. In the end we got a little smile from her before she said thank you and high fived Santa. Two! She is fucking two! Her favourite snack is popcorn and pretzels so I felt this backpack (with matching drink bottle) was just too perfect. This morning I gave it to her, packed ready for childcare. She was soo proud of herself wearing it like a big girl. When we got to childcare I dared to suggest that she hang it up on her bag hook, following that the most amazing two year old tantrum took place. We took an icecream cake for her to share with her friends and when I asked her if it was good, she said 'I bite it!'. After dinner we had a special birthday cupcake and she danced to Mariachi El Bronx, then we opened presents and she cooked soup for us in her new kitchen. This morning we had a little adventure to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie for some tasty treats. Audrey had a pretty unhappy with with a sore tummy and she's finally feeling better so we had a little cheat day. Audrey loves the icecream and brownies and BJ was crazy for the amazing scones they made. I ordered a salted caramel and macadamia hot chocolate which is one of the hot chocolate festival specials and it was AMAZING!! On the drive home we were pointing out all the farm animals but Audrey just kept telling us that she saw a Tapir. Audrey has been excited about 'the baby' for the last two week but this morning when I asked her if she would like to go meet Cali she said 'NO!!' Once we got there she was very excited to hold her and was super gentle.
