summary: One drink turned into two, and two turned into… four? Five? You don’t remember. The next thing you know, you’re waking in a room that isn't your own, head pounding, body heavy with last night’s haze. Fortunately, you’re not alone in figuring out where you are, or in taking care of yourself.

You wake in the thin, gray hours before sunrise, with a dull, insistent pounding behind your eyes. It's a punishing reminder of how many drinks you definitely shouldn’t have had last night. And for a few moments, you just lie there, eyes half-open, letting the world swim back into focus. The mattress beneath you is firmer than you expect, lacking the familiar give of Betty’s bed. It takes a moment, longer than it should—thanks to the lingering fog of alcohol—for the realization to land. You didn’t fall asleep here. Your stomach sinks a little as you take in the unfamiliar ceiling, the quiet hum in the air, the faint scent of ozone instead of perfume.
Slowly, begrudgingly, you turn your head.
Soft light spills across the room, not from a lamp or a window, but from Volt. His electric hair glows gently in the dimness, casting faint streaks of blue-white across the sheets. He’s sitting nearby, unusually still, like he noticed you stirring but didn’t want to wake you fully. When your eyes meet his, the glow dims just a fraction, as if he’s trying not to overwhelm you.
“Ah, good morning, live wire,” Volt murmurs, his voice light but careful. “Did you have a nice nap?”
Before you can reply, perhaps question how your dateviators hadn't died yet or how you ended up here, a quiet voice comes from the other side of the room.
“They’re awake?”
Eddie is leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. He looks freshly finished with maintenance: sleeves rolled, hands clean, posture alert despite the hour. A mug rests in his hand, steam curling upward into the low, electric glow. When his eyes meet yours, some of the tension in his shoulders finally eases.
"Easy,” he says, low and steady. “You’re in our room. You had a rough night.”
Volt shifts closer, attentive, while Eddie steps forward just enough to place the mug on the bedside table. After a beat, Volt reaches for the mug. he hesitates, then lifts it carefully, guiding it toward you with both hands.
“Have some, spark,” he says gently. “It'll help.”
Volt picks up the mug, tentatively bringing it to your lips. He waits until you nod before tipping the mug just enough for you to sip. The liquid is warm, something mildly bitter, grounding. Tea, maybe, or whatever Eddie decided would be easiest on your system. Volt watches you the entire time, electric glow pulsing faintly as if he’s monitoring more than just your grip on the cup.
You barely have the energy to respond, but the warmth helps. The pounding behind your eyes eases by a fraction, enough that you can finally breathe without wincing.
Eddie pulls a chair closer to the bed and sits, forearms resting on his knees. He doesn’t crowd you, doesn’t rush you.
Volt lowers the mug once you’ve had enough, setting it back down with care before reaching for the glass of water beside it. He offers it next without a word, eyes flicking briefly to Eddie for confirmation. Eddie nods once.
“You don’t have to talk yet,” Eddie adds quietly. “Or explain anything. We’ll talk about this when you're not reeking of alcohol."
"Alcohol you served, my dear."
"Not the time."
Volt lets out a soft chuckle as he settles beside the bed, close enough that you can feel the steady warmth of him, the quiet hum of energy kept deliberately low.
“We've got you,” he says softly.
Between the warmth lingering in your chest, the steady presence at your side, and the way neither of them asks anything of you, the room feels smaller in the best way—safe, contained, and patient—until the morning finally catches up to you.
“Get some more rest, yeah?” Eddie adds. “We’ll be here when you wake up.”
Hello there! If you're okay with that, could I ask for Eddie and Volt offering themselves to be a weighted blanket? In the sense that the homeowner is laying somewhere and they'll just flop down on top of them befause they wanna cuddle?
a/n: HI! of course, i will literally take any excuse to talk about them. i need that eddie & volt sandwich BAD. keep requesting them guys, i have the worst hyperfixation on them currently pleasepleaseplease. i put a bit of my own spin on this prompt, hope that's alright!

summary: Each day seems to stretch longer than the last, filled with endless side quests as the objects in your house who constantly call on you for help. As the homeowner, it’s your responsibility to keep track of everyone and tend to their needs, but the weight of it all becomes exhausting, blurring together until it’s hard to remember who asked for what. After one particularly draining day, you finally allow yourself a moment of rest, retreating to your lovers' loft after they gently excuse you from helping clean up, promising they’ll finish tying up the last loose ends of the night. Alone, you unwind and let your thoughts drift over the unfinished tasks still waiting for you, when you sense a familiar presence enter the room. It was one of your lovers! But, almost immediately, they could pick up on the lingering buzz of your tired mind.

⟢ i believe that volt would be the first one to enter the room, since eddie would definitely be triple-checking everything at the bar.
⟢ volt would immediately sense that something was up.
⟢ it’s almost impossible to hide anything from him, and tonight you don’t even try.
⟢ he notices the dark circles forming under your eyes, the way your shoulders sit high with tension, the small pout on your face, and so on.
⟢ his expression softens instantly, all teasing energy replaced with something gentle and sincere.
"My, poor, sweet live wire... what has you looking so down?"
Volt cooed, his voice low and gentle, almost as if he were afraid to startle you. He sits beside you on the bed and brings his hands to your tense shoulders, thumbs pressing in slow, careful motions. A soft electric buzz hums beneath his touch, a comforting current meant to ease the knots in your muscles and quiet the static in your chest.
It’s the kind of energy that soothes rather than sparks, like he’s trying to sync himself to your breathing. Still, Volt knows there’s only so much he can do without words. So he lingers there patiently, hands steady and warm, waiting for you to let him into whatever’s been weighing on your pretty head.
⟢ volt doesn’t rush you.
⟢ he lets the quiet stretch, and lets his hands do the talking for a moment.
⟢ when he thinks you're more relaxed, he'll ask you if perhaps holding you would make you feel better.
⟢ with your permission, volt would carefully sink down on top of you, draping himself over you like he was made to fit there.
⟢ volts' arms wrap around you fully, his weight warm and grounding. his chin is resting near your shoulder.
⟢ as you start to explain what’s been weighing on you, the endless tasks, the constant responsibility, the feeling of being needed by everything and everyone, volt listens intently.
⟢ he punctuates your words with soft kisses along your temple, your cheek, your shoulder, each one full of reassurance and love.
⟢ you don't get very far before the door opens again, revealing eddie.
⟢ he looked just as tired, but seemed alert. his eyes immediately finding you beneath volt.
⟢ he takes in the scene in a single glance, the way volt is holding you, the way you’re curled in on yourself, and his expression shifts. concern cuts through his usual stoic reserve.
⟢ eddie approaches slowly, like he doesn’t want to disturb the fragile calm volt has wrapped around you.
⟢ his hand comes down reverently against your side, firm and warm, like he’s grounding himself as much as he is you.
⟢ there’s something almost hesitant in his touch. not uncertainty, but restraint, as if he’s scared he might injure you further.
"... Did something happen? Are you hurt?"
"Eddie, darling, they're not dying. Come closer. I'm sure our live wire would prefer it if you held them as well. If that's okay with you, of course~."
⟢ eddie hesitates only a second before nodding, the tension in his shoulders easing as he steps closer.
⟢ he settles beside you on the bed with measured movements, mindful of every shift of weight.
⟢ another arm slips around your waist, firm and steady, while the other rests nearby, close enough that you can feel his warmth even before he fully commits.
⟢ it’s a different kind of comfort than volt's. heavier, quieter, similar to an anchor.
⟢ once he’s sure you’re comfortable, eddie lets himself lean in. he doesn’t speak much after that, only to softly encourage you to fill him in on what's bothering you.
⟢ the both of them now rest on top of you. their warmth almost makes you forget what you were worrying about in the first place.
⟢ as you continue to vent to your two lovers, volt stays attentive.
⟢ occasionally, he'll brush a kiss against your skin or give your arm a reassuring squeeze whenever your voice wavers.
⟢ eddie listens just as closely, even if he says less. when you mention feeling overwhelmed or stretched too thin, his grip tightens slightly.
⟢ every so often, he murmurs something short and sincere, reminding you that you’re allowed to rest, that you don’t have to be everything for everyone all the time.
⟢ the last thing he wants is for you to be like him and run yourself ragged.
⟢ as your words finally slow and the tension begins to ebb, they stay exactly where they are, content to hold you for as long as you need.
⟢ for the first time in what feels like forever, the noise in your head dulls.
⟢ the tasks can wait. the house can wait. right now, you’re exactly where you need to be.
Can I request separate romantic hcs of RMU trio (Vincent, Victor and Albert in college era) of how would each of them try to make their crush, Y/N or [Name], who usually saw him as her friend, see him as a man to love?
When he tries his final resort, it works. How did he know?
It's because [Name] gave him a very obvious reaction like "WOW, OKAY. THAT'S NOT FAIR, JWHDDJ," while running her hand through her hand or something like that.
Let's say [Name]'s personality is a bit wild yet introverted and has dry humor.
Is this too specific-

⟢ vincent falls for you gradually, almost against his will. slow burn king.
⟢ at first, you're strictly referred to as victor's friend.
⟢ he tells himself he simply enjoys your presence because you’re interesting.
⟢ ...but then he starts looking for you in every room, timing his arrivals to match yours, and feeling strangely disappointed when you’re not there.
⟢ he expresses affection through consistency. through being there before you even realize you need him.
⟢ he doesn't flirt like victor, but he will be there everytime without fail.
⟢ vincent is always the one who saves you a seat, walks on the street-side of the sidewalk, reminds you to eat when you forget (might even leave you some food outside your room), and slides his notes toward you when you miss something in the lecture.
⟢ at some point, this stops feeling like courtesy and starts feeling a bit more personal.
⟢ he notices what you like, what drains you, what makes you laugh under your breath, and adjusts himself accordingly.
⟢ then, it leads him to begin seeking you out more often under reasonable excuses (study sessions, walks across campus, late-night coffee runs, etc.)
⟢ he starts creating moments where it’s just the two of you, in an attempt to try and get you to develop some sort of feelings for him.
⟢ vincent tests the waters by attempting to grow closer emotionally.
⟢ this a huge step for him, and it's really hard for him to share frustrations, admit doubt, letting you see pieces of him that he doesn't even let victor see all the time.
⟢ when that doesn’t immediately change how you see him, it will definitely unsettle him.
"I'm very happy you're able to share this with me, Vince. It must've been... hard to share this. You must see me as a very close friend. I'm honored, really!"
"... Right. Very close, indeed."
⟢ he grows more deliberate, more aware of how close he stands, how long his gaze lingers, how often his hand almost brushes yours.
⟢ he debates saying something for weeks. maybe months.
⟢ vincent weighs every outcome, every risk, until the thought of never knowing becomes worse than rejection.
⟢ so, he invites you over for a study session one evening.
⟢ nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that would raise suspicion, just another reasonable excuse to spend time together.
⟢ the night stretches longer than planned, textbooks slowly forgotten as conversation drifts, the room quiet except for soft music playing and the occasional dry remark that makes him huff out a laugh.
⟢ before you leave, he hesitates, just long enough for you to notice, then asks you to wait a moment, voice steadier than his frayed nerves.
⟢ vincent finally closes the careful distance he’s maintained for months, gaze locked on yours, expression open in a way you’ve never seen, and tells you plainly that he wants to be more than someone you rely on, but someone you could come home to, and see as a partner.
⟢ he's almost scared when you don't immediately react.
⟢ but when you freeze, letting out a very flustered and obvious reaction, he knows that he got his point across.
𓂃⟡ ݁ 𝓋ictor 𝒷lake
⟢ victor, is the complete opposite of vincent.
⟢ victor falls for you in a way that’s obvious to everyone except you, and, for a while, himself.
⟢ but once he realizes, unlike vincent, he doesn’t fight the feeling so much as he leans into it. if he’s going to want you, he might as well make it known...
⟢ at first, you’re his friend from class, the one he partners up with when there's group work, the person he nudges to ask where they are in the lecture when he dozes off for a few minutes, and whispers ridiculous commentary about how the professor looks like they rolled straight out of bed.
⟢ then he starts flirting “as a joke.” major emphasis on the quotes.
⟢ casual compliments blur into teasing, leaning a little too close, brushing his hand against yours when passing papers, touches that linger just long enough to make you pause but not long enough to call him out.
⟢ victor thrives on your reactions. your dry humor fuels his own, your raised eyebrow or unimpressed deadpan makes him grin wider every time.
⟢ he learns your tells quickly: what makes you smirk, what makes you scoff, what makes you flustered, and he plays to them shamelessly.
⟢ he’s patient, knowing he can chip away at the “just a friend” barrier bit by bit, making your laughter, eye-rolls, or sudden blushes his personal victories.
⟢ the more comfortable you get around him, the bolder he becomes, fully convinced that making you laugh, fluster, or shake your head is his fastest way in.
⟢ his final resort happens one evening after a late-night coffee run.
⟢ the two of you are walking back across campus, the night quiet except for distant chatter and your footsteps.
⟢ the conversation drifts lazily until you half-jokingly mention that sometimes you can’t tell if his flirting is real or if he’s just messing around like always.
⟢ victor laughs at first, instinctively, but then he stops walking. completely.
⟢ he turns toward you, abruptly serious for the first time that night, head tilting slightly as his eyes lock onto yours
⟢ he drops the teasing entirely; it's almost scary when he's dead serious for once.
"My dear, I truly hope you know that I am serious when I say you are not a joke to me. None of this ever was."
Victor pauses, stepping a little closer as he plants his hands in his pockets like he’s grounding himself. His gaze is unwavering as he admits that every compliment, every lingering touch, every “joke” was his way of saying what he didn’t know how to say outright, that he’s been completely infatuated with you, from the very beginning.
"Every compliment, every look, every stupid line I’ve thrown your way...I meant them. I’ve always meant them. I flirt for the fun, sometimes, sure. But with you? I mean every last word."
He states, his usual humorous tone is long gone. It's replaced with something you've never seen before from him. It makes your face start to heat up as he pours his heart out in front of you.
"So, I need you to understand that I don’t do halfway feelings, not with you, at least. If you ever decide to look at me as more than just your friend… know, my dear, I'll be here waiting~."

⟢ albert falls for you in silence first. long before he ever allows himself to name it.
⟢ at first, he convinces himself it’s just admiration, but the more he notices you, the harder it becomes to ignore the way your presence lingers in his thoughts long after you’ve gone.
⟢ unlike victor’s outward flirtiness or vincent’s restrained attentiveness, albert doesn’t flirt “as a joke.”
⟢ his compliments are specific, thoughtful, and sometimes hesitant, leaving him second-guessing whether he’s said too much or not enough.
⟢ he’s very unpracticed, though, so every affectionate comment feels like he’s translated it from another language first.
⟢ it frustrates him when you see him only as a friend. every laugh you share, every casual touch, every time you lean on him... both warms him and cuts him in the chest.
⟢ he wants you to notice him the way he notices you, but the thought of pushing too hard, of risking the friendship, keeps him quiet.
⟢ so, he tries to stand out subtly!
⟢ he leaves little notes with reminders or encouragements, adjusts your scarf or jacket when you’re cold, carries your books across campus, offers to help with projects you might not even ask for help with... you name it, he'll do it!
⟢ when that isn’t enough, he tests emotional intimacy in small doses.
⟢ he shares something personal with you, a worry or thought he normally keeps to himself, or he lingers near you just a little longer than necessary during study sessions.
⟢ he’s always calculating, making sure it doesn't come off as desperate, hoping these moments will let you see him as more than a dependable friend.
⟢ but as much as he tries, he sees you still treat him as “just a friend.”
⟢ and it IRKS him.
⟢ he starts to feel the pressure of months of hidden affection and careful observation, the desire for something more building until it’s almost unbearable.
⟢ his efforts to make you become interested in him make his competitive antics with vincent look like child's play.
⟢ his final resort comes after a long day, he’s walking you back to your dorm, and the conversation drifts to him “always being there for you.”
⟢ you laugh lightly, brushing off his constant attentiveness, and in a blur, you call him a great friend.
⟢ the words hit him like a truck. frustration, longing, and care collide, and he stops mid-step... is his eye twitching?
“I am more than a friend,”
Albert begins, voice calm but unyielding.
“Every compliment, every gesture, every little thing I’ve done for you… it’s all because I care about you. Romantically. NOT as a friend. ”

⟢ she's definitely ecstatic.
⟢ the fact that she's even able to pick who would be with her feels unreal!
⟢ considering that shine is a bit "nicer" to mizi compared to the other owners, i think she's given more options than most.
⟢ mizi would pick someone who is kind, but who could also handle shine's carelessness.
⟢ she'd pick someone who isn't easily disheartened, someone who can persevere.
⟢ she spends a long time with the options presented to her, trying to get to know them a little before deciding.
⟢ she observes them carefully, how they react to sudden noises, their personality, how they act when the owners are and aren't around, etc.
⟢ still, with how poorly most humans are treated and isolated from others, most of the options are quiet and withdrawn.
⟢ when she manages to break through some of their walls, shes very cautious.
⟢ after a while, when she thinks she’s finally decided who will come home with shine and her, she still revisits every option, talking with them again just to make sure she isn’t overlooking anyone.
⟢ when she finally does pick, the first few days together are awkward.
⟢ it takes a while for the sibling to settle in and understand that mizi isn’t another authority figure or someone they need to perform for.
⟢ mizi hopes that eventually her new sibling would see her as family, not just another pet in the house.

⟢ sua is deeply afraid of what her decision could mean for someone else.
⟢ also... she already has so many siblings. why does she need more?
⟢ she worries that whoever she chooses might suffer because of her, or be held to expectations they never asked for.
⟢ the idea of shaping another person’s future due to the misfortune of being picked by her makes her uneasy and guilty.
⟢ she’s careful not to grow too attached to any one option, afraid that attachment would cloud her judgment.
⟢ when it comes to the type of person she ultimately looks for, sua is drawn to someone quiet but perceptive, someone like her.
⟢ she also picks someone who is physically pretty, because she knows her owner values it.
⟢ the first few days with her new sibling have her other siblings watching closely, judging them.
⟢ sua gives them space, but makes sure they know shes available if they need anything.
⟢ she feels a responsibility to offer comfort, simply because she was the one who picked them to be here.
⟢ more than anything, sua hopes that whoever she picks won’t resent her for her decision in picking them.

⟢ ivan is a bit... taken aback.
⟢ his relationship with unsha has always been professional, so it surprises him when he’s offered the chance to pick a sibling for himself.
⟢ then again, if his owner truly wanted more humans, he could have simply picked the one he considered the prettiest from the options.
⟢ being given the choice makes ivan feel as though it might be some kind of reward for his complaisance, or perhaps a test of his judgment.
⟢ due to this, he approaches the decision carefully, viewing it less as a personal choice and more as a business consideration.
⟢ he ultimately selects someone eye-catching.
⟢ someone who would draw attention and appeal easily, believing that this is what unsha expects of him.
⟢ ivan makes sure his choice reflects marketability as much as compatibility.
⟢ he tells himself that this is the safest option, for him, for his owner's approval, and for the sibling’s best interest.
⟢ even so, the fact that he reduced their worth to value instead of seeing them as a person disconcerts him for a while.
⟢ in the days that follow, ivan treats his new sibling with politeness, keeping things formal while ensuring they are presented well in the public eye.
⟢ only during moments they're truly alone does his concern slip through.
⟢ it takes him awhile to open up to his new sibling, but he tries to express to them that he’s there for them when need be.
⟢ he hopes they won’t be hurt by the expectations placed on them, expectations he helped choose.

⟢ till would react in disbelief, laughing like it was a joke.
⟢ being told he can pick a sibling feels wrong, like a trick, or bait meant to see how he’ll mess it up.
⟢ urak has never given him choices without consequences, so till just assumes there’s a catch he hasn’t figured out yet.
⟢ part of him assumes it’s a trap, something urak will later use against him if he chooses poorly.
⟢ urak most likely frames it as an opportunity, but till recognizes it for what it is: another test, another way to assert control.
⟢ having seen his owner cycle through other pet humans before, till knows how disposable people can be to urak.
⟢ till knows he’s valued to a degree, but only as long as he’s entertaining.
⟢ because of that, till feels pressured to choose someone useful, someone with obvious talent or a striking presence.
⟢ he deliberately avoids choosing someone too similar to himself, someone loud or defiant, afraid they’d be punished for it.
⟢ instead, he leans toward someone expressive but softer around the edges, someone who could endure his owner's cruelty.
⟢ his decision shifts quickly from personal desire to damage control, focused on sparing the sibling from the worst of what’s to come.
⟢ the first few days with the new sibling are tense; till keeps his distance from them.
⟢ he tries to draw urak’s attention toward himself and away from the sibling just until they get settled.
⟢ when urak isn’t around, till softens. he makes small talk and plays games to try and get them to open up
⟢ he never says it outright, but he feels responsible. after all, he’s the reason they’re here.
⟢ more than anything, till hopes the sibling won’t see him as another extension of urak’s control. he hopes to grow a genuine bond with them, and it doesn’t take long for him to become protective of them.
