Muitos nomes, muitas formas

Todas essas versões de Sauron, ou melhor dizendo, do nosso querido maia Mairon que encontrei; bem quero dizer, alguns são supostos, descartes, variações da mesma coisa, que de algum modo se encaixam nele. Deve ter mais, mas por ora, é isso.

O primeiro é ele Mairon ✨

Esse fiquei na dúvida, que talvez ele devesse ser o primeiro na lista, mas… deixei assim. Tevildo era um gato enorme, EU SEI, mas eu quis fazer algo meio a meio aqui 🤭

Segundo o que encontrei Tiberth era outro nome do Tevildo, e achei legal dar outra forma para ele tbm, já mais élfica e fluindo para uma vibe mais Sauron.

Aqui já entramos de fato no nosso conhecido maia. Pelo que vi por ai, Thauron era uma forma anterior do nome Sauron

Aparentemente Sûr era só uma outra variação de nomes que Sauron teve, que parece nem ter sido mantido; enfim, apenas existiu em algum momento.

Fankil parece ter sido o mesmo caso do Sûr, um nome abandonado, ou outra pessoa; era um agente de Morgoth que tinha funções similares ao Sauron (ou que fosse ele mesmo, mas sem muita confirmação) porém, pra mim é ele, escolho acreditar nisso.

Thû parece ser um intermediário entre Tevildo e Sauron onde um já estava virando o outro(?) Bem, optei de dar o título a ele de "Sombra", msm que em algumas referencias ele apareça já como "Necromante", mas escolhi assim, pq fiz OUTRO necromante 😅 que vcs virão logo, além de que eu quis referenciar a forma vampiro dele.

Esse aqui pelo que entendi é uma versão anterior do já conhecido Gorthaur, e parece trazer vestígios do Thû e do Thauron(?) Não sei, não entendo mt coisa, mas acho legal essa confusão 😆 Resolvi trazer ele como senhor dos 🐺porque eu quis

Final e oficialmente Sauron o ABOMINÁVEL Tbm achei como tradução para seu nome como O FÉTIDO, O PODRE, mas eu não quis ofender mt o querido 🤣 Fiz a forma morcegóide estranha dele que eu já desenhei algumas vezes pq achei que se encaixaria (meio luciferiano e bonito) com seu lado podre, que pra mim é o interno (ainda) somente

Trazendo agora as referencias da série Rings Of Power, temos o conhecido como "Sauron de Forodwaith", eu quis trazê-lo como Gorthaur o Cruel (que tbm pode significar algo abominável ou horrível), em vez apenas de MAIS UM SAURON 🤭, mesmo que ele seja. Todos eles são, essa variação louca da mesma coisa.

Mais um da série Rings of power, esse é ICONICO!! O querido SlimeSauron, uma das melhores formas do Sauron que é essa gosma rastejante gororobenta. Foi uma adição da série que pra mim foi muito boa

Eis tbm uma das melhores formas que a série Rings of power adicionou para tentar nos enganar, (e só conseguiu nos cativar), Halbrand, o rei das terras do Sul, tbm vulgo "cachorinho da Galadriel" 😏

AQUI EU CONHECI AQUELE QUE EU SEMPRE SONHEI! Mais um presente da série Rings of power, Annatar o senhor das dádivas (E QUE DÁDIVA)! Sua primeira aparição me arrepia até hoje 💖

Aqui ele atingiu o ápice, não é mais possível ou necessário distinguir Annatar de Sauron, eles são a mesma coisa, um só: MAIRON, mas nada admirável, totalmente corrompido, maníaco por anéis poderosos, nunca vou esquecer ele dizendo a Galadriel para DAR A ELE 😂(sempre vou rir do duplo sentido disso)

Esse eu quis fazer uma nova forma que deixa CLARO que é Sauron, ele já é isso, mesmo que não curta muito a ideia de ser podre, fedido e abominável haha Tentei trazer um pouco de como seria a ideia que a série Rings of Power pode trabalhar na S3, essa mistura de "Halbrannatar"(?) E saiu assim. Agora ele é o Senhor de Mordor assumidamente em seu trono escuro.

Aqui tentei mais uma forma dele (na vdd outro NOME) que aparece entre o Annatar e sua sedução de elfos. Pq não dar umas escapadas de Annatar para outra coisa? Então temos Artano e tentei deixá-lo divônico com suas joias diferentes.

Mais um caso similar ao do Artano e Annatar. Aulendil foi outra forma gostosa para enganar as pessoas 😆 Esse eu resolvi reciclar e aproveitar uma forma que eu desenhava o Annatar, mas como me apeguei ao Annatar da série, aproveite esse meu como Aulendil

ESSE FOI UM DOS QUE MAIS AMEI FAZER: Tar-Mairon Sauron querendo resgatar um pouco do antigo Maia que ele foi? Usei o Charlie Vickers de base para o rosto dele e amei o resultado, esse homem fica bem com qualquer peruca.

Aqui no Zigûr eu quis mantê-lo ruivo como o Tar-Mairon (e reaproveitei um design que usei no kinktober saurondriel), mas modifiquei o rosto para não serem exatamente a mesma coisa.

Esse eu ainda fico bobinho que fiz. Nesse Sauron eu usei OBVIAMENTE, o ator Charlie Vickers de referencia para o rosto, e uma daquelas imagens de Sauron que aparece nos filmes D'o Senhor dos Anéis, que ele tem cabelo meio platinado, e a armadura tbm veio dos filmes de forma mais simplificada.

E o ultimo que fiz (mas não o ultimo Sauron eu acho, poderiam ser possível mais) foi sua forma INOMINADA, chamada apenas de "Necromante de Dol Guldur" e depois ficou identificado como Sauron mesmo Usei o ATOR Charlie Vickers de referencia novamente, mas eu tentei deixar ele meio acabado, o que foi difícil.

Sauron and Annatar 1st look

His Name is Not REALLY Sauron, but no one really knows what to call him either

Tolkien's use of "Sauron" is infuriating. The character in question did not like that name because it meant "The Abhorred," or even "Foul-smelling and Vile." It was given to him by his enemies as an insulting play on his true name, which was Mairon, "The Admirable." However, Tolkien is an unreliable narrator at times and wrote from the perspective of a Noldorin/Numenorean/Gondorian scribe. Due to the implied bias in the text, the narrator uses every opportunity possible to get a pot shot in on Sauron Mairon.

This makes it very difficult to know when the character in question would refer to himself as Mairon, Sauron, or any one of his other many names and titles. Did he call himself Mairon in Angband? According to "Words, Phrases and Passages in Various Tongues in The Lord of the Rings", in Parma Eldalamberon XVII (edited by Christopher Gilson), the character used the name of Mairon until the fall of Numenor.

I guess the implication then would be that, since the character in question could no longer take a fair form, he decided to go full-on villain mode and accept the insulting title that his enemies gave him. After all, The Abhorred sounds more intimidating than The Admirable.

HOWEVER, Aragorn tells Legolas and Gimli that the "S" rune on the uruk helms belongs to Saruman, because the other "S" character does not permit his "right name" being written or spoken. (I guess this means that Aragorn considers "Sauron" to be the character's "right name" - not necessarily his "true name.")

To add to the confusion, there is also the existence of the Mouth of Sauron. In theory, this character might actually refer to himself as the Mouth of Mairon, but the Gondorian scribes, continuing their tradition of biased reporting, called him the Mouth of Sauron instead. Another possibility would be that the Mouth of Mairon refers to himself as the Mouth of Sauron when dealing with enemies, as the name would seem more intimidating.

This all makes for a very uncertain experience when writing about this character. Should he be called Mairon, when he isn't going by Annatar or Zigur? Or should the writer adapt the perspective of a Gondorian scribe, who would use the name Sauron at all times?

I don't know if there are any answers to these questions.

          Vardamir Nóliman was the eldest son of Elros Tar-Minyatur, and nominally the second King of Númenor. It is said that the last of his buildings still stood in the days of the Downfall.           As the youngest prince, Nolondil at first showed little care for responsibility and would often spurn his duties to spend time in the libraries. He was eager to learn from his mother’s elvish friends, but unlike her spoke often and passionately, and became known as a great orator, rhetorician, and philosopher.
