Carry On

It’s sad to see something you love come to an end... but I’m not crying yet. Maybe it’s because it’s 5am here and I’m numb, or maybe it’s because I’m more grateful for what I’ve been given.

I started watching Supernatural after my second knee operation. It kept me distracted from my own pain and misery through recovery. It made me laugh and smile and cry and want to wake up on those days where I knew I’d be doing nothing more than sitting in bed all by myself.

Supernatural inspired me, and it still inspires me today. Jared and Jensen’s acting is so incredible that they spark our imagination and help countless writers to come up with new worlds and plots and characters and ideas. It given me a million and one escapes, because of my stories and every other fic I’ve fallen in love with.

And most importantly, it’s given me family.

@crispychrissy I know you’re hurting right now and I wish I was there for you. This show has brought us together and it’s one of the best fucking things to have happened. You’ve talked me through panic attacks, opened my eyes to new things, and helped me grow as a person.

@kittenofdoomage you’ve unleashed a beast. Your writing has inspired me as much as the show has and I love that because of our works we now have an incredible friendship. The little thing I send you every day has been one reason for me to keep going through my darkest times. Knowing it makes you happy makes me happy.

@sculptorofbeginnings & @dean-winchesters-bacon of course I’m mentioning you both in the same paragraph. You’re both honestly my best friends. We share porn and ideas and nonsense. You make me laugh until my stomach hurts, and you both mother me sometimes. It’s incredible to think fangirling has brought the three of us together.

@saxxxology my Sam!girl. Our snaps give me life. Your dedication and passion are truely inspiring. You make me wanna write better... and write more Sammy. I’m so glad I realised I’m a bi!chester because that’s allowed me to get to know the incredible woman you are.

@moonlitskinwalker my first international fb call!! I absolutely grew intrigued when I saw you’re a dyslexic writer and I am absolutely glad I decided to stick around and get to know you. You’re awesome and funny and sweet, hun, and I love that I can call you my friend.

@spnskinnyballs you’re not online much anymore but fuck it, girl, I’m mentioning you as well. We’ve spent hours talking on Snapchat, and most of it has been nonsense, but it has made my day, too. Now every time I make tea I think of you... and how my way is the right way.
