This was one of our favorite campground, and with reason... It’s absolutely gorgeous here. I have an unhealthy addiction to camping right on the water and this place delivers. Following the coastline, on the way to that tiny speck at the end of the land: Au Sable Point Lighthouse. Close to the end of a long day full of driving, hiking, sightseeing and photographing around Pictured Rock National Lakeshore. On this piece of trail in Michigan's Upper Peninsula I found the same kind of calming and recharging solitude that I find in the mountains around Boulder, Colorado.
