Ever the devoted student, Charlie Case made the leap straight from high school to university. She had it all figured out - get the good grades, get the good job, get the good life, and then relax. However, in Charlie’s second year of study, the eldest Case child had worn herself out, and finally took her parents up on their suggestion of some time off. One month into her time back home in Greensville, Charlie realised that relaxing at home wasn’t quite going to do, and so the trip she and her mum had been fantasising about for years - as long as Charlie could remember, in fact - became a reality. The two “trekked” across Europe, sampling every pastry they happened by, Charlie dragging Shannon deep into each bookstore they passed, Shannon urging Charlie to any nearby performances ... and it was everything the young woman needed. Refreshed, revitalised, Charlie returned to school, and hasn’t looked back. Her workload hasn’t eased, but she’s keeping on top of it, and most of all, she’s thrilled to have the summer at home with her family (and her siblings, though she’d never admit that in a hurry).

Confidence is something that Samuel Case has never lacked. In fact, flamboyant is the term his dad would most often use. Sam has been performing his entire life - from one-man plays with quick changes behind the Case’s living room curtains, to high school theatre shows with his best friends - best friend who, despite adoring Sam with everything in them, spend more of their time shaking their heads at him than anything else. Sam is putting his passion to use now, attending the same university as his mother before him, with dreams of following in her footsteps ... to a degree. While Sam respects his mother, and all of her work, he’d like more than just his voice to be out there. The camera, as his favourite pep talk begins, loves me.
